Three wins actually forgot about Senegal-Qatar. Low key may be the best second round of group stage games in CAF history.

Well damn. :salute:

This might even be most games African has won in the group stages. With 3 of them potentially qualifying

Gonna be a lot on the line this last round.

- Senegal has to beat Ecuador and they're in. :ehh:

- Tunisia has to beat France and they're in unless Australia beats Denmark. :sadcam:

- Morocco in if they win/draw Canada, or even if they lose so long as Croatia beats or draws Denmark. :whew:

- Cameroon in if they beat Brazil by 3 goals, or if they beat Brazil and Switzerland loses to Serbia. :stopitslime:

- Ghana is in if they beat/draw Uruguay. :ehh:

There's a correlation between ranking and performance in competitions usually.

It's not a perfect system, but to say 'virtually' meaningless is a stretch.

Nah, they are garbage. What does what Belgium did 4 years ago have to do with where they are today?

And no matter the system, teams will always be looking to hack the system. Remember Poland being a top seeded team for the last World Cup because they figured out that you improve your ranking by not playing any friendlies at all? They were one of the worst teams and finished last in their group. No one expected them to do anything anyway. :mjlol:

I seem to recall a VAR decision in the earlier rounds that wasn't revisited.

Saying there's "usually" a correlation is weak as fukk. You could get the same correlation from any random fan ranking teams off the top of their heads. Hell, a non-casual fan ranking teams off the top of their head would probably be more accurate than the FIFA rankings.

Remember the 2006 World Cup when the USA was ranked #4 in the world?
