Nah, they are garbage. What does what Belgium did 4 years ago have to do with where they are today?

And no matter the system, teams will always be looking to hack the system. Remember Poland being a top seeded team for the last World Cup because they figured out that you improve your ranking by not playing any friendlies at all? They were one of the worst teams and finished last in their group. No one expected them to do anything anyway. :mjlol:
They had scored in 49 consecutive games up until yesterday when they lost to Morocco and had a bunch of different streaks since the end of the previous WC.

The actual problem is that they underperform in cup competitions. The rankings aren't meaningless obviously becausr they help with seeding.

Let me preface by saying I don't know shyt about football.

Koreans had control for the entire 10+ minute added time. This couldn't have been by design right? Ghana was stressing me the fukk out with that. Why were they dropping back and allowing the Koreans to control the ball so freely?

Think prevent defence

Saying there's "usually" a correlation is weak as fukk. You could get the same correlation from any random fan ranking teams off the top of their heads. Hell, a non-casual fan ranking teams off the top of their head would probably be more accurate than the FIFA rankings.

Remember the 2006 World Cup when the USA was ranked #4 in the world?
I didn't say there's "usually" a correlation, but there is a correlation.

You could make the same criticism of virtually any sports ranking from college football, basketball, MMA or boxing. Heck, Anthony Bennett and Kwame Brown were once the number 1 ranked basketball players being drafted into the NBA.

Their rankings used to be more politically influenced, but they have since cleaned up their methodology. Anyway, the original comment was on the good job the Ghana coach is doing despite their "low ranking". Not trying to debate on the accuracy of the rankings. If you have an idea of where they should be ranked, feel free to tell us. Until then, enjoy the Brazil game. :manny:

commentator's here in UK pretty dismissive of Switzerland. acting like they're not gonna get many chances and need to take any chance they get near the box

this Swiss team very good and will cause Brazil problems

On the starting 11? Casemiro.

Thiago Silva and Marquinhos are a GOATed defensive core, but so were Lucio and Juan. Allison is the only other one to have a case for it too.

Besides that, no one, especially on the offensive end. 02's squad was incredible. :wow:

Nah, that's Tite's dumbass picking Fred to sub in.

Everton Ribeiro would be a much better pick from a playmaking sense.

LMAO @ Brazil on that full-court pressure, wtf are you doing? :mjlol:
