They were, but their defense has given up five offensive TDs twice since COVID came through and crushed buildings in 2020. Today, and to Kenneth Walker last year.

Michigan is not meant to play from behind, and TCU got the drop on them early despite them forcing Duggan into a mediocre game. It is what it is.

Bro field position matters. Another TD they gave up was on a short punt that got returned to the 30. The only thing that’s inexcusable is getting gashed after the offense scored.

Everything else about this loss hangs on JJ. He got gun shy after the pick 6’s and had to stare down routes before he let it loose. It’s ok. He’s young. Maybe next year.
