TCU let one big run happen on the first drive of the game and basically sold out to stop it from that point on, mostly to success.

They forced McCarthy to try to beat them -- they bombed on TCU's safeties A LOT with playaction -- and Michigan's defense wasn't up to the task of keeping the score manageable.

Michigan's offense gave up 14 and left 14 on the board. The defense was asked to overcome a lot.

They were, but their defense has given up five offensive TDs twice since COVID came through and crushed buildings in 2020. Today, and to Kenneth Walker last year.

Michigan is not meant to play from behind, and TCU got the drop on them early despite them forcing Duggan into a mediocre game. It is what it is.

Playing from behind so early killed the Michigan gameplan. But truth be told the defense was getting carved up by chunk plays all game and Harbaugh's style is just not going to beat great teams consistently. Just an embarrassing loss.

Ten minutes into Georgia v OSU and both teams look better and more prepared than Michigan as well.

Your offense giving up 14 points and fumbling on the 1 yard didn’t help either. Both sides were a problem but the offense was the bigger problem, you can’t have that many crucial turnovers and expect to win in the playoffs

Damn this lost stinks. I think one thing missing that has not been talked about was the Gift and Curse of Donavon Edwards. Yeah he had big TD's against OSU almost broke one today to start BUT......

Him playing with that broken hand and not being able to fight off blockers stiffened the run game in short distance, if he can't get pass the D-Line untouched then he automatically goes down plus you really can't use him on goal line plays because of the inability to fight off blocks. Not trashing Edwards, love him as a player and I'm happy he's coming back but when Blake went down we saw in the Illinois game there wasn't much behind Edwards and that bit us tonight because there was no balance.

I just don't know as a Program where you go from this. Last year you finally slayed Goliath(OSU), got steamrolled by UGA, that game was basically over at halftime. This year you come back and beat OSU at their place, big 10 title, etc... And at point during this playoff game were on the brink of getting blown out but came back and made it a game.

I'm assuming Harbaugh is coming back now but wouldn't shock me if he gets swayed away. I won't put too much blame on Minter, he made mistake but Max is a helluva QB and that defense showed up when they needed it. Just gotta sit in this shyt until next year...
