They can take the team and sell it off to the highest bidder. Sterling can sue, but the team will be sold. They can't force him to sell, but they can force him out and sell it on their own. I don't condone hitting women...but I've seen family members and friends get in situations with women that made me see "if that had been me I would have knocked her ass out"

I believe the nba owns the rights to the team as far as logos and names go. I could be wrong. I would think u only have ownership of those things if the nba grants u ownership of them. Yes they would. Women get arrested all the time with the guy. If a group of witnesses tell them the woman was spitting and assaulting the man before he retaliated, they have to take that into account or they themselves could face legal ramifications later.
