And let's just be honest: most players today are better than most of them in that era. We only remember the standouts. Darryl Dawkins wasn't some great player. Neither were most of Dr J's teammates.

The talent pool gets deeper each year but a lot of people don't realize this because they're blinded by nostalgia. Sure there are some generational players that would be great in any era but what I'm saying is the average player now is a lot better than the average player in the 70's or 80's.
The same shyt people in this current era say about Russell, Wilt, West, etc. about how "They dominated against watered-down competition" 30-40 years from now, people from the next era will be saying that about Magic, Bird & Kareem.
