Ok I finished the season, the only props is for the bad bytches :wow: and having a show with a full black cast the rest is:usure:,
- Was Luscious a rapper or an R&B signer?
- What was Andre and Vernon reason for backstabbing Luscious, Vernon was his right hand man
Yes. He was a rapper who could sing like some 50 cent x chris brown shyt.

Vernon was hurt by how after all the yrs lucious gave him zero credit for helping build Empires...it drove him back to drugs use and he sought revenge after he fell off the wagon.

"Empire" Season 2 Preview: Lesbian Teen Rapper Could Be CEO Jamal Lyon's Next Big Thing

http://tvline.com/2015/06/11/empire-season-2-spoilers-lesbian-teen-rapper-betty-barz/

Cookie Lyon may not be the undisputed queen of Empire for much longer.

The show's producers are on the hunt for a baby-faced actress to play the recurring, potentially breakout role of Betty Barz -- a "moody, outspoken" teenage rapper who'll be introduced in the Sept. 23 Season 2 premiere (9/8c on Fox), titled "The Devils Are Here", TVLine has learned exclusively.

Betty, who's also known as "Betty Gathers and "The Queen Of 16S" is described as African-American, "unapologeticall y butch", and something of a hometown hero in her "Brownsville-Never-Ran-Never-Will, Brooklyn" neighborhood. Her undeniable talent has led to her winning more rhyme battles and girls' hearts than the best male vets on her block." (We're guessing "winning girls' hearts means the new character is lesbian, but then again, maybe that just means most of her mixtape buyers are female?)

Despite the fact that Betty is "charismatic and witty with a street lean", though, the road to possible fame -- via a deal with Empire Entertainment's new CEO Jamal, perhaps? -- won't necessarily be a smooth one. In fact, her "deep fears push her toward self-sabotage" -- and prevent her from fully turning her back on the streets.

At least some of those issues can be attributed to the fact that Betty is the daughter of an incarcerated drug kingpin ; "Pops", it turns out is the one person who can silence and humble his hard-headed emcee offspring.

They were recently at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco. We learn that:
(1) Season 2 of "Empire" starts filming on June 19, although Terrence claims that he won't be filming for another month because he has to lose 15 more pounds ("wait until I get my crack and Slimfast" lol);
(2) Taraji loves the French fans, because they refer to her by her real name and not as "Cookie";
(3) Terrence discusses how Taraji has become an international phenomenon;
(4) how Taraji called up Terrence after telling Lee Daniels that she'd only do "Empire" if Terrence was the leading man, and told Terrence that he better take the role (and Terrence says that she deserves 10% of his pay.....although TJ says she deserves 15%);

(5) Terrence discusses how he was scared to take the Lucious Lyon role (because Lucious threw his son in the trash can/was a murderer/abandoned his true love in prison for 17 years/pitted his sons against each other), but Taraji told him told him not to judge the character and how that was great advice for her;

(6) they have a little spat (lol) about Terrence needing to buy Taraji a Chanel bag for hooking him up with the "Empire" role, but Terrence says it's too expensive to buy in Monte Carlo even with the tax haven status and that he'd instead buy it in Chinatown (lmao...Taraji responds, "Did I give you a knockoff job? Well then"). Terrence tries to claim poverty but Taraji ain't having it ("you've been in the game a long time. You have money. Look at these tailored suits, that Rolex watch"); and

(7) where their characters will go in Season 2. Taraji wants to know how Cookie Lyon survived 17 years of prison and what she did sexually to bide that time ("she's not gay, but we're talking 17 years. You need something") and how prison changed her. Meanwhile, Terrence talks about how Lucious may be a Don in prison;

(8) Taraji puts Terrence in check about touching her lol; and (9) how "Empire" will use new talent to produce music, instead of a ton of guest stars.

‘Empire’ Season 2 First Look: Chris Rock Takes A Punch From Terrence Howard

The first day of shooting on the new season of Fox’s blockbuster hip-hop family drama Empire saw fists flying behind bars — at least according to Chris Rock. Guest starring in Season 2 of Empire, the actor did a shout-out on Lee Daniels’ Instagram on Tuesday with the series co-creator and star Terrence Howard

The trio joke that the prison set scene saw someone give someone else a hit to the stomach and, as Rock says, that someone has “a reputation.” Howard’s Lucious Lyon character was taken away in handcuffs in the massive-watched Season 1 finale on March 18. Obviously he ended up in the big house. How that all plays out we’ll see whenEmpire returns on September 23.

Rock will be joined by other guest stars like Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keyes in Season 2. Oprah Winfrey is also said to be making an appearance.
