Likewise, I use to stay in Arlington over the summer and it was dead as fukk. If I don't live in MD then I'ma be in DC.
How is Bethesda, MD? Suppose to be out there for 6 weeks and its a bit expensive so I'm trying to find a place near there that's safe and affordable.
How close is it to DC? Hows the public transportation and do I need to carry pepper spray?

Bethesda is mostly white and if your in the downtown part then your relatively close to NW DC going through Friendship Heights. Bethesda is in Mo County, meaning that absolutely nothing will happen to you in terms of crime.
To be honest tho, nothing is safe and affordable when your that close to DC. It's one or the other. Silver Spring is maybe you best shot but even then you'd be paying a lot to stay in a lackluster apt full of nikkaz and foreigners.
