Chuck Brown said why he abandoned it and even though I didn’t like him when he was alive I completely understand why he that that even though I didn’t agree with that either.
The fact that Chuck was able to just change music genres showed the Man was a genius.

It’s kinda white people’s fault they invaded and gentrified shyt. Back in the day the wharf was a place to buy cheap fish and a hood hangout. They did a excellent job gentrifying the place but James Creek Projects is still there ( wonder why they didn’t move them) so you’re always gonna have YN’s out there on nice weekends.
When I was coming up, EVERYBODY had a band!
I was the talker in our group. Our highlight was winning a talent show and winning some shirts with our name (Full Circle) on it. Outside of that, we didn't go anywhere.

You’re right everybody was in a band. I was in one myself and we did shows around my way I try to maintain my privacy on here but I was in Intimate Groove Now that’s an old school Go Go band Name that sounds cool but means nothing.
We never made it to Poster status though.
Considering I’m a Congo Player I should rep it more. I had a buddy from DC come to Cali and we went to the Boulevard where they play Salsa Music and they use the same instruments they just play it differently.
I was shocked that I couldn’t immediately play the lets use the Go Go term for the instruments The Roller Toms because I haven’t played them in like 25 years.
I will buy some congos when I get my house in order though.

It depends if you want Culture or you want Montgomery County.
You go to the Boulevard Tonight in PG county and there might be a fight or you can stay in Bethesda where it’s safe. Bethesda has a main street but the white folks really want to go to Downtown DC for reasons.
Black people deal with the fukkery without complaints you can’t have vibrant culture and nightlife and nothing happens.
I don’t know why white people want to pay 4k a month to live in a shoebox apartment with huge rats in their trashcans.
Give me Deer in Bowie rather than Rats in DC.
All the public housing Navy Yard and Southwest is gonna be redeveloped

They should’ve been got all the projects out of there. They sold the Capers to the Marines

Then and this is the main reason I wouldn’t live in the new Southwest even though I love it is because even if they turned the Projects into Condos they need to have like 25% set asides for section 8.
