DMV brehs, would you rather have a new urban stadium on the waterfront or maintaining that stadium adjacent tailgate experience ....
Potent tweet, because you can't have both![]()
The people near RFK voted "NO" on rehabilitating it years ago.

I see a deer damn near everyday in MoCo: deer, rabbits, foxes, etcThat's surprising. Can't go a week without seeing deer in Silver Spring

why would they be opposed? Granted I guess the partking would be atrocious as people trying to get out of paying for parking but why have that old ass rusty building just sitting there? The people near RFK voted "NO" on rehabilitating it years ago.
They over developed the whole DMV. I saw mad deer in the hood too in areas that used to be wooded areas.I see a deer damn near everyday in MoCo: deer, rabbits, foxes, etc
...because traffic out that way is already a nightmare.why would they be opposed? Granted I guess the partking would be atrocious as people trying to get out of paying for parking but why have that old ass rusty building just sitting there?
The city could and should overrule them and bring it back to the city.
They could use Nats stadium if the locals cry too much.
The real reason traffic is terrible at RFK is because they make you go 35 mph on a city highway bypass....because traffic out that way is already a nightmare.
Honestly I don't care either way. As long as they keep it out of MoCoThe real reason traffic is terrible at RFK is because they make you go 35 mph on a city highway bypass.
Granted the traffic is insane in southwest having the commanders out there and having people watch at the betting parlors out there is just crazy. It’s way too much traffic as it is.
If it’s not gonna be at either RFK or the old Griffith Stadium area better to keep it out in Landover and be done with it.
A lot of these cacs are transplants from other states. I remember a Black woman was being interviewed by the Washington Post and she said that she was at some gentrified spot on H Street and got into an argument with some white woman and she told her "You should be glad I bought a $450,000 house in your ghetto ass neighborhood". This was back in 2006 so I know that area is going crazy. I lived on 6th Street at the time. Investors were getting ppl out those home for $90k...what I’m saying is the old chocolate city is almost gone.
The small parts that are left need to be left alone. I seen a white lady go into those new developments at Sheridan Terrace. Sheridan Terrace is still Sheridan Terrace so if white people live there they need to not be on some Karen shyt and calling the cops because someone played an old Backyard tape too loud.
Or they need to move their ass back to Montgomery county where they don’t have to hear no Go Go or deal with YN’s on MLK ave.
I was ready to run over a clown over a road rage incident on his part on MLK That was annoying but I’m willing to deal with it because I prefer the old Chocolate City warts and all.
I guess I’m old but he checked out of Go Go after the Ruff it Off era started
I don’t know how old you are or if you’re a transplant but this is the what I’m talking about
And this doesn’t even sound like this live at Wilmer’s Park in 1997 but you get the picture
It’s insane we see how they can gentrify but turning Anacostia to Annandale is gonna take time and a lot of white people who bought in the hood are gonna have to deal with living in a “ghetto ass neighborhood” for a while. A half million would still get you something in an exhurb in Fauqier County or Charles County somehere.A lot of these cacs are transplants from other states. But I seen some remodeled homes in SE off Southern Ave near D Street that were going for 500k. I was like over here???![]()
