ATL, but rasied in DMV
Anybody familiar with Landover lately? I know it use to be the no-go place 10 years ago, the Palmer Park and Kentland area off Landover Rd in particular...these areas are old school hood. But I heard they built some new condos off Landover Rd just past Jenkins Funeral Home on the same side going north towards Cheverly, right before you reach the Landover Metro Station, which is within walking distance. It sounds like they're located where Strafford Woods Apartments use to be, which was definitely a no-go back in the day. Anyway, I hear these condos are going for like 355K, and the builders have a 5 year revitalization plan. I know it's a little more quiet in that area, with Strafford Woods gone, and the Club Utopia turning into a church, but I've been gone from the DMV for 12 years, and I have no way of feeling the present vibes in that area, as far as whether those condos are worth investing in. If you're familiar with this area, it's past and/or especially it's present, does it still feel a little too hood to be investing that kind of money in that area today. Do anybody think those condos will have a good resale value? Be honest, and don't hold back.
