My birthday is coming up in August and I wanted to take a trip to either Accra, Ghana or Johannesburg, SA. I'd like some input if possible. I'm considering taking my 9 yr old. I know we can do a Safari at Kruger National Park but what else would be appropriate for her? Is Accra child appropriate outside of a Safari there?

My husband wants to go to Paris and then travel into Brussels, London and Amsterdam but if we are going to do that, I'd rather to go Africa. I'd actually rather not bring my daughter but I cant leave her for 2 weeks and be at peace.

Nairobi. Plan on being there from Apr 8th-15th. Looking at an AirBnb in the CBD not too far from all the action. What I have planned now is actually not too far from the University of Nairobi
Avoid CBD. Look in Westlands.

Sudan/New Zealand.

Firstly when you see the word "Ana" which is the first person "I" in English. The person who created the video is asking what tribe or ethnicity are you and the reply

Ana Ja3len= I am Ja'aliya
Min means From in English.

Take care guys.

Today generation are working to rid ourselves from tribalism and regionalism and just be Sudanese, but it is a great deal of work.

Cheers.

I`d do Cape Town or Durban over JoBurg. I want to go to Durban but I'm gonna watch SA from the sidelines for now :mjpls:.

I'm thinking Egypt or Morocco may be my Africa trip for next yr.

Isn't it still on the cold side in August for Cape Town? Well that's what I read. Also, Johannesburg is closer to Kruger, right? I' just thinking about all the travel with a kid. It looks like I'll be forced to take since my husband won't let me book the trip without her if we go to SA. :francis:

Summer Started in November for Cape Town so IT may be getting cooler now as I don't think they have a wet season.

Still traveling back to USA from Sierra Leone. Will post pics tonight.

Very beautiful country with big pretty green mountains and really, really nice beaches. The people were really nice. The economy is very depressed there, but there is quite a bit of construction happening on the roads and in housing so the outlook is very promising.

A lot of history there involving African Americans and the tribes that they came from in Sierra Leone and in Guinea as well as the other countries along the Rice Coast.

I was quite surprised at how well they keep up with African Americans and even more surprised that they are nothing like the Africans that come to the USA that African Americans typically encounter. Those folks were very very friendly and down to Earth to the point that I now understand why Southern USA African Americans were always so friendly and down to Earth. They also have the coolest damn Creole accent ever.

I am convinced that Sierra Leone is a must visit for African Americans.
