@Lucky_Lefty when next you planning on hitting SA?

I'm thinking about going for like 8 days days in either Feb or Mar before I transition to a new job. Was thinking about Jozi and CT, but it'll probably be just Jozi. I swear I fell in love with that place. Lemme just shed some of this winter gut and we gucci :lift:

Can't even call it fam. Wanted to go last month before festive season but now looking at November if at all. Want to sure up some things on the homefront before I go overseas again. If I do go to the continent, it'll be to Kenya and stay with some of my SA friends who have moved there. Going to Saudi & Belgium in Feb-March and that's all I got on the agenda. I'd love to go back and my ex just opened up a restaurant in Melville that everyone seems to hit up now.

Name of the bolded?

Kenya is dope man. You'd like it out there.

I'll be sure to enjoy SA on your behalf, I'll hit you closer to when I go. I may need a few more recommendations for a few spots.

Very dope. These Black Americans who got on my plane leaving Addis from Zimbabwe told me great things. Dope nightlife, dope scenery, dope food, Great Zimbabwe, animals, however expensive tickets...:picard: I need to get my money up again.

Lol i put money aside ever check for these trips. I need to get on in the Airline industry.

The main think with Africa is getting to most places cost alot but once you there everything is cheap as hell.

This. You just gotta cop your tickets ahead of time and during the shoulder months. But like you send, once your in it's like a gold mine.

My dollars went so far in SA and the rand was like 12 ZAR to $1. Now it's like 14 ZAR to $1. I'd be feasting.

Zimbabwe as a country is more unique imo.

Without a doubt Zim is more unique, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling the energy in SA.

Jo'Burg was an absolute blast from the moment I landed. You have that African "feel" but with Western infrastructure. It's a mind blowing combo, especially for a Nigerian like myself.

I actually kind of liked the "grit" of Jo'Burg. I'm really not a fan of overly clean cities tbh. I kinda like cities that a little rough on the edges. I disliked Singapore for this every fact. Overly sanitized. Amsterdam is probably the only city that I give a pass but only because of the unique/quaint feeling of the city. DC is also getting a bit too sanitized for my liking.

Lagos, NYC, Jo'Burg, London. My favorite cities by a long mile.

I've heard Cape Town is absolutely gorgeous so I will hit it up the next time I'm out there, but best believe 80% of my time will be in Jo'Burg.

In the words of the Zimbabwean uber driver that picked me up when I landed in Jo'Burg "That place is baaaazzziiinnn!"
