Marvel should of pushed She Hulk:jbhmm:

Jen is a successful lawyer and a freak..... shyt would of made feminist and frat boys happy as fukk. Also at least she is interesting as a character beyond just being Bruce's cousin.

I been saying this for yeeeeaaarrrs (hell in this very thread). Jen's one of those characters you could have done anything with and fits all demographics.

she appeals to teens and men cause of her looks and personality

women because she's smart, independent and "sexually liberated" but not slut slutty

folks with self-esteem issues (cause she'd rather stay Green than mousy jen walters)

Fits perfectly in the Daredevil/Jessica Jones verse (as mousy Jen. Hell, she's friends with Patsy Walker right now) SHIELD, movies, action shyt, superhero sex in the city shyt, etc etc.....

I honestly think it really just boiled down to the cost of having a realistic looking/acting 7 foot green woman on screen.

marvel should bite and go for the diversity angle with the female heroes
Marvel long overdue with that. And they just recently got the wake up call but they still ain't doin it right.
Remember the pleasant hill event when they introduced that new female Quasar, and made her be yet another white chick? :francis:
Or that black nova corps family from the Secret War tie-ins that they never followed up with. The Ms Chavez thing too, tho that was more in hindsight from a few years ago.

i know its a self contained story, but they should have brought the novas into the main timeline

I rather them not be paired at all then. The amount of black males in comics who are paired with non black females is disgusting.
What's funny is that the netflix shows knows that the black population aint down with that shyt either so they're trying to skate around it with Luke Cage. They gave him a black wife in Jessica Jones and made it central to their relationship.

And then, at the comic con convention, they were teasing clips of Cage and Misty Knight being intimate. They already know what the deal is with Luke's target audience :russ:

And in the comics, 'coincidentally' Misty Knight was paired with a brotha (Falcon) in the months before her mainstream debut and both Misty & Cage are forming a 4-person team with BP & Storm the same week the netflix show comes out.

yeah that Nova Corps family was a great concept with a great dynamic.

They could have taken them off Earth but kept the same idea: Ordinary Black Terran family stuck out in space with powers they don't understand, totally out of their element and trying to survive those harsh realities as best they could. The more they tr to get home, the further out into the reaches of space they find themselves.

Decent idea for an indie comic :ehh:

Just read the new issue of Civil War 2. Brehs, I have never witnessed a more annoying self righteous character than Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. Then I read the Heroes For Hire tie-in that had Carol going after Cage, Centurius, and Songbird. Cage's speech to Carol was spot on. Who da hell does Carol think she is?! I can't wait till Ulysses has a vision of her killing somebody.....she gonna go quietly?

Man they have been pushing her for gotta been nearing 10 yrs now. :wow:

What's bad is that her as a character prior to the name change was good. She was cool and fun but still could get busy when needed to. She was similar to Jen, but Jen is way cooler. Actually Jen & Misty are the coolest females in Marvel, and while they did have some push, they'll never get the ultimate push probably because they can't fly.

At this point, they might as well just create a new character.

This is what they need to do. Tbh, a lot of them are just boring or get so pigeon-holed in team concepts that they appear too one-dimensional on their own. Hell even the movie restricted ones like Storm and Invisible Woman, they've been so pigeon-holed and under-developed that Storm's solo attempt failed miserably and i don't think Sue Storm has ever had a solo, and that shyt would probably flop too. Spider-Gwen and Ms Marvel would wreck them in sales despite being less prestigious. Granted, there are no doubt a number of underlining factors for why pretty much every x-character but wolverine (and deadpool?) have had iffy times in solo ventures -not just the x-women, and why Sue is known more as this bored housewife adultery-tease for Doom Namor and even BP, than anything helpful to expanding her fanbase.
