:patrice::what::jbhmm::francis: :snoop:jeezus, Marvel. how obscure can you get.

I would give a rundown...

but really....

who cares? :beli:
As lame as these dudes all are some of them do actually have connections to Sunspot's New Avengers team members.
Power Skrull (the green one) was an attempt by the Skrulls to create another Super-Skrull; he has fought the Fantastic Four a couple times and is there as a adversary to Hulkling who is a Skrull prince

Asti the All Seeing (the floating mask thing) is a minion of Dormammu and has fought Dr. Strange a bunch of times as well as having gone after Scarlet Witch before which matches it with Wiccan

Angar the Screamer (the hippie looking dude) is Songbird's former partner and lover when she was a villain and went under the name Screaming Mimi

Vermin (the furry dude hanging on the wires) is most likely there to face off against Squirrle Girl; the two characters don't have a prior history but Vermin does have the ability to control small animals like rats and squirrels so I guess that is what the writer will be going for when the characters fight

Skar (the guy with no face) is ridiculously obscure and has appeared in a shytty 90s cosmic miniseries as a space mercenary and before that was an assassin in the Killraven comic book from the 70s; I have no clue who he is supposed to particularly be an enemy for because he has no past history with anyone on the New Avengers team... he does shoot energy beams out of that hole in his face though

I'm wondering if All-Star Superman maybe shouldn't have been the first Super-Man book I read. I know it's not in continuity, so it doesn't matter, but some of the references are going over my head.

I am enjoying it though, especially as I'm gearing up for its finish.

Next I'm going to start reading his in-continuity stuff. Starting with either For All Seasons or Birthright. Suggestions on which is better?

Injustice: gods among us:jbhmm: I've played the game a few times but I've heard some good things about the comic. Actually worth checking out?

East of West is so good. Finishing the third trade today so I can cop the newest one next week and be all caught up to read weekly.

Hickman is the writer, same writer of secret wars which was a good story minus all of the tie in crap. He's very good a building big worlds.
