Yea i think you and i talked about it before but Kamala is the most valuable female character Marvel has outside the x-franchise, and is far more important than Carol.

And by the time CM comes out, Scarlet Witch, Wasp, Black Widow, Valykrie all already would've been on screen... and let's be honest, Wonder Woman is the Michael Jordan of this white superheroine lane that Carol was put in to break grounds in. Its like thinkin the Cyborg movie was going to harness the same anticipation and novelty following Black Panther and all the other black male heroes that are going to be in place by 2019. Hence the recent rumors that DC is thinkin about re-purposing that film into a Titans movie.

The most glaring omission in comic films is with women of color. If Disney were to find a charismatic young brown girl like they did with them Star Wars kids, to put smack dab in the middle of the MCU, that'd be a bigger gold mine than Carol.

To be 100% honest with ya bruh, I think Storm is bigger than WW currently and maybe more influential overall. Remember Storm outright beat WW in a popularity contest from hardcores in Marvel vs. DC and won the fight. And Storm is not only the biggest female character, but the biggest minority character in comics as well. WW still has OG status, but Storm is AT WORST a very close #2 to her.

I dunno. Maybe with the younger generations, but my mom knows who Wonder Woman is and she only knows like 4 comic book heroes by name. She has no idea who Storm is.

I hear ya, but I think they dropped the ball with Storm. Both Fox and Marvel Comics.

With the comics, all Marvel ever cared about the past 15 years (if not longer) was making Cyclops head honcho, accumulating with Xavier and Magneto (of all people) bowing down to his leadership. Emma Frost, Cable, Hope, Jean Grey, Sinister... AvX, the Phoenix Force redux... it all tied back to him as the center piece and face of all mutants. Emma Frost has been pushed as the 'first lady' of the mutants. Storm on the other hand is glorified wall paper status except when she's front and center as Wolverine's fill-in thot, b/c Jean Grey isn't around.

With Fox, you already know its all about Wolverine with another blonde girl (this time, Mystic) being the lead lady. Prior to that it was Rogue, and Storm was wallpaper status as well.

I get the same impression. Wonder Woman has the advantage of being a flying brick (can do what 'men' can do) who is acknowledged as the best, brightest and pride of women. And is considered the "best" Amazon. And DC treats her with these qualities in mind.

Storm doesn't get treated with any of those perks. Jean Grey was Xavier's pride and joy, and who the phoenix force possessed. Cyclops, i've already mentioned. It's kinda like John Stewart's popularity a decade ago, if you don't cultivate it when it spiked to it's peak, then your basically undercutting any potential or momentum. Changing them from potential global icon to strong cult favorite.
