:mjcry: It ended with a whimper.

Too much Guardians of the Galaxy. They brought it back, for Iss 5, but; they shouldn't made the story more about the family.

And yea, I hope this isn't the last of the Bakians.

Yeah it started off strong as hell. Incredibly strong. Had me :gladbron: at the thought of how good the first two issues were.

Then they added GotG where it wasn't needed, Ruined it and I didn't bother reading anymore. :leostare:

. I like the character, but I'm hoping that they toned down the fellating. If not, BP or Danvers needs to G-Check the shyt out of her.

Nah, they're just showboating her for those who may be unfamiliar. Her and Carol are gonna bump heads eventually. I can already see it.

I think it's quite an impressive feat by Marvel/Hickman that none of his stories close well. I don't know who's exactly to blame for the Secret Wars delays and troubles (Hickman? Ribic? Editorial?) but goddamn, Hickman's Marvel run is completely tainted.

you already know who I blame. :francis:

Kinda reminds me of the Bendis era events of the mid to late 00s (tho they weren't all written by him)... we've all talked about it in previous years: big, epic start to an event (big explosions, civilian/meta casualties, insurmountable odds, bleak outlook, rah rah rah) that has us all like ':damn::banderas:'... but then 2/3rds into the event, shyt kinda stumbles on itself for one reason or another and leaves us feelin like... meh.

Granted, Hickman got 2 issues to go to give a big finale... but timing is everything tho and they already dropped the ball on that front.

Yeah the GOTG were shoehorned. Like they were thinking.. "no one is gonna buy a book about a black fam with nova powers, quick throw gotg in it" :skip:

The art in ultimates was fantastic.. but breh gotta draw Monica a little better, they had her looking more the part of an 80 year old than Adam in some of those panels lol. Esp with how youthful they make Carol and Chavez look.

I think they'll be a lot of passive aggressive posturing amongst the cast. We already know BP and BM will be low key beefing. And no way Carol and Chavez get along for long lol. Hell, Carol and Monica are known to bump heads.

Oh, I share those thoughts completely, I'm just being "objective" about it.

Btw, what's everybody's thoughts on Superman: American Alien? That book gets a lot of praise all around and while I'll say that story wise it did things I absolutely fukking loved, I had a lot of issues with the dialog feeling awkward, expository and/or forced as well as the pacing/flow being off. It seems Landis doesn't quite know how to write a comic book because in places Dragotta's art was kind of lost as well trying to convey whatever the script asked for. It's a bookfull of great scenes, but poor bridging between them.

But thank the heavens he brought positive and supporting Pa and Ma Kent back. :whew:

Tryna get caught up on some joints i skipped over
That Sam Wilson Cap America is kinda nice imo
I like how they had him give his perspective on how hard it is being a black Cap without just out and out sayin "this shyt wack!!" :shaq2:
Contest of Champions i liked
That Dr.Strange 1st issue was fresh too
I dont remember Dr.Strange being like some Men in Black shyt
Might revisit some old ones
But i like that new 1st issue

IG ended in whack fashion. :camby:

I liked the ANAD Avengers. Better than Uncanny. :ld:

Gonna peep Wolvie next.

Side note: I didn't know they did a GFK comic for his album 12 Reasons To Die. I found 4 of the 6 issues in a bin.

The GoT ish was forced and definitely the low parts, but I don't think it ended wack at all. The fam vs Thanos and Thanos vs Thanos was still on that level of the previous.
They formed a PR Zord that Thanos beat until it shattered :mjlol:

But I did definitely hate the very end. Like WTF. What's next for the fam?

What was that alien ish in ANAD Avengers? I stopped reading. I'm wondering if I should read the Ms. Marvel/Nova section or should I even cop #2.

Did anyone else get The Occult Detective last week?

It's a good story overall but it's taking waaaaaayyyy too long. The payoff for all this better be worth it for those following it.
