Secret Wars: Boring.

:gladbron::gladbron::gladbron::gladbron::gladbron: EXCEPT FOR WHAT TCHALLA AND NAMOR GOT GOING ON

Edit: A year ago, you never wouldve gotten me to admit that I would be typing such a phrase.

Illuminati was cool, I dig the art style

Ultimates was dope even with shytty characters like Blue Marvel and Ms America Chavez

ANAD Avengers was average at best. Mark Waid fell off

Secret Wars #7 was crack. Those last two pages with BP, Namor and the Marvel Zombies made me laugh out loud.

Thors ended good too, that might be my favorite secret wars tie in book

I bought the goddamned but I'll read that over the weekend

I thought Blue Marvel is supposed to be one of Marvel's strongest. Between the preview and issue 1, it's implying that Chavez could stop the squad :dwillhuh:. That shyt seems laughable, before you get to Blue Marvel and Panther being some of the smartest people in all of Marvel. Does Chavez feel herself that much? They can't be about to give her that much of a power creep. She's not One Punch Man.

What he said about America? I want to see the pages where he did this.

Infinity Gauntlet was still a top 3 book for Marvel. I hope that Anwen sticks around

:heh: nah, man she's not that powerful. They gave the right description for her. "Flying Brick+".

Although we havent seen her max yet, I'm guessing she's prolly as strong as Rogue used to be, with a small bit of super speed.

What sets her apart is the fact that she's been a superhero her entire life. That's something that they only did in DC Comics. Plus she has no problem going all out with her power set.

:yeshrug: Somebody's gonna smack the shyt out of her eventually.

Ultimates was everything I thought it would be. Beautiful and excellent.

Secret Wars 7 was kinda wack... the saving grace was T'Challa and Namor at the end of course. Even then, at face value i'm not sure its an ability with much use outside of this specific story, unless it turns out he can start summoning them or other creatures in similar states... and given that it took Hickman 3 years of stalling before revealing this... I don't really call this a payoff as much as just a very cool "about damn time" moment in an otherwise bland issue. They said 7 and #8 were originally one big issue of just mayhem, and it probably would've been better that way as this felt kinda short.

I thought Illuminanti #1 was pretty good. I liked how they wrote Titania.

ANAD Avengers #1... the side story with Kamala and Nova was better than the actual story. I've been largely unfamiliar with both those characters, so it gave me a good idea about them (i think). The actual main story started off fun with Cap and Stark... but quickly got bogged down with that snooze-fest villain stuff. Maybe a necessary evil as they're going the organic origin route where everyone meets up by coincidence.

I think it's quite an impressive feat by Marvel/Hickman that none of his stories close well. I don't know who's exactly to blame for the Secret Wars delays and troubles (Hickman? Ribic? Editorial?) but goddamn, Hickman's Marvel run is completely tainted.

:mjcry: It ended with a whimper.

Too much Guardians of the Galaxy. They brought it back, for Iss 5, but; they should've made the story more about the family.

And yea, I hope this isn't the last of the Bakians.
