I'm gonna miss it. I wish that I could magically make everyone stop what they were doing and give this man a standing ovation as soon as he walked out of his house in the morning.
It's ending?

As announced by IGN, I’m sorry to say that I am leaving the Injustice: Gods Among Us series.
This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Leaving Injustice is like choosing which one of my favorite organs to cut out.
The freedom I’ve been given by DC to tell the stories I wanted to tell in this series has been incredible. I love Injustice. I love these characters and would happily write them forever.
However, Injustice: Year Three Chapter #14 will be my final Injustice. #13 and #14 tell a bittersweet Superman story that seems like the right place for me to exit.
I want to say that I am so damn proud of our incredible team who have made this book the success it is.
I was originally hired for 15 chapters. When we began, many said we would “just be another game tie-in that came and went”. Two years later, and Injustice is still consistently the highest selling comic on Amazon, iTunes and Comixology, a #1 New York Times Bestseller and, we learned last week, currently the most well reviewed DC Comic. This is incredible, and I thank each and every single one of you who has picked up our book.
The reason I’m leaving is simple; I’m only one person.
I’ve been writing a WEEKLY comic for over two years now and I have put my all into every chapter, every character, and every panel. I have wanted to deliver and improve every week on our series for our fans, my friends, my colleagues, and for the great characters who deserve great stories.
However, I am also the co-creator and lead writer of The Deep animated series, I write another monthly comic and, most importantly, I am the father of Finn and Connor and the husband of Megan. They need me weekly too
There are so many people to thank but I want to thank three in particular. The first is my editor, Jim Chadwick. This series would be nothing without this man. Jim has done absolutely superhuman things to get this out the door every single week. He is a great friend and a great editor. Thank you for your faith in me and for this incredible opportunity, Jim and to you, Hank Kanalz. I hope to work with you again very soon.
The second person to thank is Kym Bagley. Kym reads almost everything I write before anyone else in the world and has done so for about ten years. She has been an incredible champion of this series and her advice and support has been absolutely vital to Injustice’s success.
Lastly, I want to thank my children, Finn and Connor and my wife, Megan. Quite simply, I would not exist, and the book would not exist, without the support, encouragement, patience and love that Megan has given me over the last two years.
Thank you, my beautiful girl.
I want to thank Bruno Redondo, Mike S. Miller, Jheremy Raapack, Tom Derenick, Wes Abbott, Rex Lokus and everyone else who has contributed so much to this series. And thanks to everyone at NetherRealm for all their encouragement, and for creating the universe. I can’t wait to see how my friend, Brian Buccellato, wraps up the year and continues on into years four and five. He knows the road map and he's a damn talented writer. I'm sure our series is in very safe hands.
And, don’t worry. I’m already talking to my friends at DC about what my next project will be there... once I’ve recharged my batteries a bit.
Goodbye, Superman. Goodbye, Batman. Goodbye, Harley. Goodbye, Constantine. Goodbye, Spectre... whoever you are
And goodbye, Detective Chimp.
So their not getting another writer?
If I was a writer, I wouldn't even try to follow it up. That last weekly book that was this good was the original 52 series. and it took FOUR A-List writers to do that....
and it STILL wasn't this consistent.
