all the heroes got fukked up in some way and The Legion Of Superheroes are Darkseid's army.
He basically just wanted a world in his image.
It's the only parallel world accesible to travel to right now and Booster Gold is stuck there.

How’s the event going? I’m a Darkseid fan but checked out of current comics months ago. I was reading Hickman’s Wolverine, but I haven’t see the bloody issue of 2 online. I might wait for an omnibus of this event and cop it.
Are these Absolute side issues involving the characters just mini-series? Or ongoing?

Wouldn't call them side issues. This is the universe. Think Marvels first Ultimate line. As long as the numbers are there they'll keep going.

I wish they hadn’t teased the Joker yet but I saw someone theorize he might be Jared Kushner type who can’t be touched cause of how rich and connected he is.

And having the villains as his friends was a great twist. For all we know they might be some of the good guys that are part of the Bat family. And what if Grayson and Todd are straight villains in this world? There’s so much potential.
