So T'Challa has basically been turned into a begging, bumbling fool who is constantly being disrespected by the women in his life.....

If you hated the direction BP comics have taken over the past few years....this issue will not do much to change your opinion.

I'm guessing this is a BP or xmen book and not anything else?

I just read the recent issue of BP and it's awful what they're doing to T'Challa. When Coates first got announced to write Black Panther, I never thought it would be the worst thing to happen to Black Panther (I know he didn't write this issue, but he started the trend)

Yea this is the latest issue of Black Panther.

T'Challa is constantly being outsmarted and outmanuevered. Then to make matters worse he's constantly being disrespected. Now he's literally begging Storm not to leave him.

its absolutely amazing how much theyve destroyed his character. it might be best to put tchalla on ice and have someone else replace him for a while until this current breed of author is away from the character

Death to the Mutants was much better than I expected. Started very iffy but by the end I was :whoo:

Gillen really has this event on his bag. Every issue him or Ewing will write is a must read for me.

X-Men was tie-in 101. I only liked it because I really like Synch and dude is basically the main protagonist of the book since Hickman did those Vault issues.

what the hell are they doing with waller? last i saw her she was teaming up with most of crime syndicate in earth 3
I think this is a 4 issue stand alone story. It looks like they are taking Waller and her Checkmate storyline that led to her taking over and combining it with the Weatherman arc of Wildstorm when he started orchestrating his team being murdered. So basically superheroes and spy shyt.

That stuff with the Crime Syndicate/Earth 3 was in-continuity Waller while this Black Label book is on out of continuity story like the rest of the Black Label books.
Here's the solicit:

In the early 1980s, as the Cold War stubbornly refuses to thaw, a new battle heats up…for the soul of the intelligence agency Checkmate. As the agency’s super-heroic public face, Jackson King—a.k.a. The armored Battalion, former leader of Stormwatch and the symbol of American might—has long suspected that Adeline Kane is up to dirty tricks overseas, engineering horrors that betray everything he believes about service to one’s country. But King doesn’t know that Kane has a clever new ally—an ambitious young woman named Amanda Waller. She has her own ideas about how metahumans can serve their country. And honor, dignity, and long lives don’t factor into them…

I liked the idea of Waller's plan with the Earth 3 stuff but the execution was kinda weak.

All they need to do with her in-continuity is have her run the Suicide Squad as her black-ops team but let her do her plan she had for Earth 3 on the prime Earth where she basically just puts together a government sponsored public team to be a counterpoint to The Justice League that she controls.
My own idea was to have her take over Stormwatch and have a sometimes lethal JL power level team under her control to go head to head with the real JL when necessary.

X-men: I feel like I'm reading a Warren Ellis book. I'm on page 16 and this issue is perfect. I'm not gonna post all the analogies that I typed to describe this issue, but I really want some orange sherbet right now. And champagne.
