Who in house at DC would get you hyped to be on Batman

I can't think of a current DC writer that would get me hyped tbh

Tomasi is doing a good job with Detective comics right now.

He gets Batman. Same with Snyder.

King never got Batman. King just does King. That worked for Mister Miracle.
Not Batman though. :francis:

All twice-monthly DC books (Batman, Detective Comics, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Justice League) return to monthly next year:

I'm really starting to lose interest in current DC, unless some amazing stuff is coming out next year. They're cutting their output so much there are only one or two books every week I'm really interested in, and Wonder Woman, Flash and the Justice League books are among the only ones I still buy.

That said, I did start reading Hawkman, and I've been enjoying it so far. :ehh:

I always though the double shipping was done in order to get more TPB's out at a quicker pace. Are DC's TPB's still selling well?

What was the DC's plan once they threw to the bushes the idea of lining everything up to go along with Doomsday Clock?

I get that with all the delays it was an impossible task in hindsight, but what replaced the "let's go with Johns idea"? Nothing?

Honest question, I have no clue. All I know is that Heroes in Crisis was an idea by King that was made way bigger than it's initial purpose and made into an event that will probably mean jackshyt anyway because nobody liked it. And that Doomsday Clock took has taken so damn long to finish that it's probably never gonna be inserted into continuity. Is there even continuity in current DC?

DC got me back into comics with Rebirth, but everything they've done since has been a complete dumpster fire.

They destroyed all the good will they built with Rebirth by ousting Geoff Johns, Heroes in Crisis and all the Doomsday Clock delays.

Blatant Marvel ripoffs New Age of Heroes went nowhere.

Black Label was DOA after the bat penis fiasco.

Vertigo lost a ton of hype after the Border Town and Second Coming fiascos, and Young Animal took its place for the 'weird corner of the DCU' stories.

They lost the Hanna Barbera license after Snagglepuss Chronicles supposedly pissed off one of the higher ups at WB.

They've been making horrible creative decisions that nobody asked for, like Wally West, Ric Grayson and the wedding.

They're reducing their monthly output, including canceling Titans, Green Arrow, Suicide Squad and Green Lantern Corps, all seemingly evergreen franchises, and cutting all twice monthly books to once monthly.

I still like the books I'm currently reading, but there just isn't a lot to look forward to on the horizon for DC.

What happened with Second Coming? Looks like a different publisher will be publishing it.

DC (and/or WB) got cold feet about publishing it after some people who were never going to read it freaked out about it.

They have Mark Russell the rights back so he could take it somewhere else.

How can they lose the Hanna Barbera license when WB owns Hanna Barbera? I still see them publishing Scooby Doo comics too.

From what I understand, it has to do with the AT&T/ Warner restructuring.

Apparently, the people in charge of Hanna Barbera didn't like the DC comics or even the adult swim shows, but were powerless to do anything about it.

After the restructuring, they have more power to say no, and they damn sure didn't want an openly gay snagglepuss. He's only supposed to be 'kinda gay', like that uncle who never has a woman with him but always comes to Thanksgiving dinner with his 'roommate' Kenny.

DCeased was kind of interesting. I'll keep reading because why not:yeshrug:

I read the Doomsday Clock where they fight Manhattan on Mars and I dont even know what the point of all this is anymore. This is such a waste of time and isnt as deep as Johns thinks it is. The Watchmen tv show looks like a better sequel than this book

I can't believe they dropped these books on the same day.

Behind You
So basically the entire point of Heroes in Crisis was to make Wally West into a mass murderer? Because I am trying to figure out any other reason for it's existence and I am coming up short.
