A bunch of villains should be racists on some level, but Marvel tries hard to make it so the only racists in their universe are straight up Nazis, Klansmen, or Mutant supremacist (that they always make sure are multiracial).

One of the things I liked about Nick Spencer's Sam Wilson book was that he took a more nuanced look at racism than we typically get from mainstream comics. And not nuanced in that typical white liberal way either.

T'Challa hasn't had a clear cut win since "Kingpin of Wakanda". He also hasn't gotten revenge on anyone that wronged him or his family (other than Fisk).

It further adds to why ppl are sick of Coates.Prior to that smart dumb negro, you could at least count on a black writer to actually treat Black Panther the same way white writers treat their white characters like Dr. eurocac Doom, Captain America, Wolverine, Batman, etc.

The second Priest and Hudlin left the BP books, notice how BP turned into a rudderless shell of himself who caught nothing but Ls by white writers and turns into a noble negro at the most inexplicable times (look at Doomwar's ending). Only Liss's Kingpin run was acceptable, and they gave him a shyt premise to work with before kicking him to the curve so they could give BP more Ls in AvX. Hickman wasn't abhorrent but most of the "good" stuff happened off panel and all the embarrassing stuff happened on panel. But he did give the next writer (Coates) a clean slate to work with... only for that writer to have zero interest in the character or afro-futurism.

So you get stories like world of wakanda and the crew that use BP's name to prop up characters that no one gives a shyt about. and solo story that's about BP catching Ls to prop up other characters no one gives a shyt about. smh
