Copped some Audio Technica decks, just for listening. They are great for that, they are already preamped so you can plug em into your speakers directly.

But make sure if anyone gets these decks. You go buy some real needles. Cause the needles that come with them is trash status

Anyways yesterday I copped

Ronnie Laws - Pressure Sentive album
Kashif - Kashif album
Herbie Hancock - Monster album
Candido - Thousand fingered man album
Chuck Brown - We Need Money
Kraftwerk - Trans Euro Express album

Earlier this week

Grover Washington Jr - Secret Place album
Grover Washington Jr - Paradise album
Linda Clifford- if my friends could see my now
Rare Essence- Body Moves

Is this service worth it? I am considering signing up. Also, if that deal is still up, I’m interested.

It's worth it if the record of the month is something that you want, because it's only exclusive to VMP. I emailed them to see if it would work for you, I'm no longer a member, signed up last month to get the Goodie Mob - Soul Food album, I'll keep you posted as soon as they get back to me

Anybody ever browse the dollar records??? Man I’ve found some gems in there! I’ll buy an album with a song or two that I like and end up liking the whole album. I found these and now can’t stop listening

Pointer Sisters-Break Out
Gladys Knight and the pips-neither one of us
Alexander O’neal-Hearsay
Etc etc

I’d be careful with any of those monthly vinyl programs. They often send out garbage reissues that are just a CD (rather than the masters) etched onto vinyl. I got a really bad Midnight Maurauders reissue from one of them so never again for me.

VMP exclusives are 3/3 for me so far with Biggie - Ready To Die (original samples included), UGK - Underground Kingz and Goodie Mob - Soul Food (one of their best sounding releases) but I feel you. Some of the reissues I have are straight CD rips and they suck, Midnight Marauders being one of them

So i think i just found the first House tune. Off Charles Earland's 'The Great Pyramid' album. Now i bought this bout 5 years ago, had no idea who he was/is or what kinda music he made. I just saw the cover and it was made in 76. 76 is one of my go to years.

Finally got a turntable after almost 10 years since I sold my previous decks. So I finally gave that album a listen, had no expectations at all. And my word, fukk ing amazing Jazz-Funk/Soul and then this song comes on

This is House, no two ways about it. Of course there were songs that already were on the 4×4, but nothing like this.

Its proves my theory with buying music. Cover, year and song titles can tell you a lot.
