I've been collecting vinyl's for a little over a year now. Got a decent collection, hoping to be upwards of about 20 by the end of this year. My taste in music has really changed, so my collection probably looks random to a lot. Face is my favorite rapper, so pretty much got his entire catalog, and then I recently been into R&B so been getting albums like Leon Bridges and Daniel Caesar. Just order H.E.R. vinyl, although I'm a little worried as a lot of the amazon reviews for the vinyl say it skip pretty bad. I figure worst case scenario I just send it back. The one vinyl I need to get that I don't have is The Diary by Face, it's pretty expensive though.

So i think i just found the first House tune. Off Charles Earland's 'The Great Pyramid' album. Now i bought this bout 5 years ago, had no idea who he was/is or what kinda music he made. I just saw the cover and it was made in 76. 76 is one of my go to years.

Finally got a turntable after almost 10 years since I sold my previous decks. So I finally gave that album a listen, had no expectations at all. And my word, fukk ing amazing Jazz-Funk/Soul and then this song comes on

This is House, no two ways about it. Of course there were songs that already were on the 4×4, but nothing like this.

Its proves my theory with buying music. Cover, year and song titles can tell you a lot.

Oh yea that's house in it's purest form right there. This would go off at a Lincoln Park Festival or Chosen Few Picnic. Great find.

This is my GOAT album, “To Whom It May Concern...” 1991 debut of Freestyle Fellowship. 10/10 west coast underground classic. Peace to the Goodlife Cafe.

If you haven’t heard this record, you really should because it’s still mindblowing 20+ years later. They were on some next level shyt, using word processors to write more abstract lyrics, and them being unsurpassed freestyle master emcees goes without saying.

Also copped some Slum Village, Ron Carter, and some other shyt. :obama:
