records take up a lot of space but they are worth it......and most will hold value.....digital downloads wont.....

imagine when you croak......ya kids or grand kids will have a vinyl heritage.....they can pluck out some gems......throw on some Grover Washington Jnr, or some Originoo Gunn Clappaz.....maybe some Miles Davis or some Israel Vibration.....

mp3's arent even getting glanced at......maybe they just format the shyt and load it with their crap

my wife's most treasured heirloom is her uncle's vinyl collection

it really does connect generations in ways other formats cant. nothing wrong with a disc (esp. a special print/artwork) but theres something about the vinyl layout that is timeless

Wow! I had never heard of Lonnie Liston Smith so based on the mention in this thread I found this.

I heard the digital version of this album yesterday and wow!

I need this on Vinyl ASAP! :ohlawd:

This should be easy to find, any record store that carries Soul/Jazz should have it.

No doubt.

People say it's some hipster shyt and I don't disagree but I love vinyl.

It's fun.

If you do order it, lemme know if it sounds decent when you get it. I hope I made a god suggestion. I'm confident with it.

If all you wanna do is just listen to music, then Audio Technicas are perfect. Anything else, no.

his shyt fire, breh. there was a 5 album span where he did no wrong.there was whole scene full of guys with maybe similar material, but he was the best jazz fusion artist to me

Donald Byrd and Grover Washington are that to me.

'Live at the Bijou' by Grover is a must for me

'Sausalito' is a special song

Byrd 'Street Lady' album whoa

Espcially this song, the progression:wow:

My G Roy is one of the most accessible Legends, he's out here, no matter the size of the platform.

All the times I've seen have been at free shows.

Dude has performed with Louie Vega at 100 capacity clubs.

Just reach out, same with Mtume, he's always willing to engage with anyone who fukkd with him.
