Brotha is cold :wow:

I got Revelations and Leaving This Planet somewhere around here

Got both of them too

I literally just started listening to dude this. And I didn't realize that I bought The Great Pyramid album.

Until i stumbled upon this song on YouTube and I saw the artwork like "oh shiit, I have this.:krs:

He was making House before House.

My favorite of Perceptions

Been a while since I've posted in this thread.

Record Store Day I wasn't in Chicago unfortunately. Did stop at Analog Vault in Cedar Rapids, IA and picked up some used records. Later Martha Reeves, as well as a later era Stylistics record.

A week later was in Memphis. Stopped at Shangri-La Records, Goner Records and the Stax Soul Museum. Picked up Syl Johnson, Ann Peebles, Junior Kimborough and some hardcore punk stuff.

Copped a bunch of salsa records at a Puerto Rican festival in Chicago this summer. This guy had brought out a huge portion of his collection and was selling near mint records from the 1960s-1980s for $1-2. Eddie Palmieri, Roberto Roena, Willie Colon, La Lupe, Grupo Folklorico Y Experimental Nuevayorquino, Cheo Feliciano and more.

Last month was in Minneapolis. Stopped at Electric Fetus, Cheapo Records and Dead Media Records. Copped two Equiknoxx albums, a Joe Bataan cassette, Jamila Woods new record and Nipsey's Atlantic album.

Through mailorder have copped a few new jazz records like Nubya Garcia and Makaya McCraven.

In September got some money for my birthday and picked up some 90s crust punk, one of the Eccentric Soul compilations and an Orchestra Harlow (60's salsa/boogaloo) LP from Bucket O Blood, Dusty Groove and Recordbreakers.

Back in October was in Durham, NC. Stopped at Carolina Soul and picked up records by James Brown, Gwen Guthrie and Denise LaSalle.

In November was in Dubuque, IA and dropped into Moondog Music. Copped that Freddie Gibbs & Madlib album.

After a few years of buying records, finally decided to get a few Christmas records. From Dusty Groove got ill considered's (UK new jazz) Christmas album, a compilation of 1950s LA rhythm & blues Xmas songs and The Whispers' late 1970s holiday record.

Got a pretty significant raise at work at the beginning of the year so celebrated by immediately purchasing Now Again's excellent compilation 'LAMP Records – It Glowed Like The Sun: The Story of Naptown’s Motown, 1969-1972'.

In March me and my girl usually take a trip somewhere to escape the relentless winter of the upper Midwest. Might go to LA, Seattle or Northern California this year. I'm sure I'll work in some good record stores.

That's how they make those splatter vinyls :ohhh: blink 182 splattered color special edition vinyls were the best.
