If you not going crazy everyday I think 500 euros is enough. Again, food and drinks are pretty cheap there so I think 500 is fine. I had more than a few good hearty dinners that were under 15 euro. Depending on your spending you MIGHT go a little over 500 but not by much.

Subway from the airport to the city. After that we mostly walked around. We used uber a couple times and it's pretty cheap, avg price was like 5 euro a ride. Also took the tram/streetcar once or twice.

Yeah, most people speak English so there's no language barrier really.

Do you know where about you're staying?

Staying in Lisboa old town right by a subway stop anjos I that according to google maps takes me downtown in like 15 min

Thanks for the tips seems much more affordable than when I was in London in April.

Anyone ever set up their holiday/trip in such a way that you get paid on your time off? Like your direct deposit hit's your account when you're at your destination.

Save up $1k for a $1.5 trip and get the remaining $500 from your direct deposit when on ground (after paying your necessary bills).

I can't be the only person that's ever done this

Example:

You make 1K every two weeks. Your holiday is for 2 weeks and will cost you $1.5K. You've already saved up $1K.

You're necessary expenditure (rent, gas, etc) per paycheck is $500. The remaining $500 is discretionary for 2 weeks.

All I'm saying is have that $500 of discretionary income go straight to your vacation while you're on ground.

Dope pictures! :whoo:

Looks like you had a good time :salute:

..but can we get some details? :feedme::lupe:

Thanks breh

Amazing city, everything is pretty close you can get to caiscais which is a resort beach area 40 min on a train, 40 min other direction takes you to Sintra where the castles and palaces are. First day I was taken the subway then I figured why not just walk you reach anywhere you need to mostly in like 30-35 min

Everything is cheap my hotel was 40 a night nothing fancy though taking the metro/bus is 1.50

Even eating out at tourist places meals are like 10 euros after a while I found hole in the wall type places that were like 5 euros for a full plate of meal no tipping as well.!
Probably the least expensive place I’ve ever been came back with 250 euros and I only brought 400

Weather is beautiful beaches are amazing. Walking sucks because the sidewalks are like cobblestones and there are a lot of hills I got a work out that’s for sure.

There’s a lot of black people there it surprised me but most don’t speak English fluently or at all.

I did this African Lisbon tour that I recommend to everyone If you go to Lisbon

africanlisbontour.com

I also did the hop on hop off bus was like 15 bucks for 24 hours but well worth it

Modern Lisbon is dope as hell

Some malls are open to 12am every single day. People eat dinner like 9,10,11 pm

I’ve never seen so many restaurants in a city it’s like all people do is eat and drink

When I went I didn't get a chance to get out the city although I wish I did. That's dope you were able to.

Food there was so cheap whenever the bill would come I was like "so..what's the catch? :patrice:"

I was surprised by all the black people I saw there too. Much more than I was expecting.

I personally like hitting national parks to get my nature fix. I just got from Big Bend. I may go to California to check out Big Sur or go back to Seattle to visit a friend and we can hit up some parks.

It was well worth it, only thing I wish I did is go to Porto and Algarve but I did not feel like flying again

Same man lol I’d eat like a steak and fries get a coke and then see the bill and it’s like 9 euros same meal where I live would be like 25-30 and there’s no tip? I’d eat out every day here If that was case. I actually spent more at Burger King than I did a restaurant .

When I did that African Lisbon tour the tour guide said that the government census for black Portuguese is incorrect and they keep the percentage low.

Because everywhere I went I saw black people

Flying or driving? I've only driven in and never had to declare anything. They just asked if I had any weapons, drugs, etc.
