well.... lemme prepare to be judged. I like that Instagram-able cutesy stuff and Black culture.

Depending on when you go you may be able to catch Afropunk (I think it's mid-late August). Harlem is definitely a must do for Black Culture.

MET, Guggenheim and MoMA are great museums for your instagram fix.

Really a lot you can do, gotta have an idea of what you'd like to do.

I always kinda wing NYC because there's so much to get into.

Is it better to buy a subway card for the week or pay as you go? We are planning on staying in Time Square.

Thought I responded. You'll probably be better off doing pay as you go. I know there are passes but it's so easy to just get a card then reload it with money as you move along. TSQ is very touristy. Do what you need to do there and keep it pushing.

I find after 5 minutes Times Square is boring as hell .

Piccadilly is in London right?

We will pay as we go. Like it is a small group and everyone has different plans. We may separate and meet up somewhere.

yep it is, its much nicer than times square to me

manhattan is so small anyways that pay as you go will prob be better. I always enjoy walking in a city i'm visiting anyways as you see more than being inside

How much does traveling cease when you have kids?

I have a cousin who has a 4 year old and him and his wife haven't really done any traveling or taken a vacation since their kid was born. I've suggested him and his wife should take an overseas trip, even if they have to bring their kid and he hit me with the "Nah bruh, traveling with kids is a different ballgame :whoa: You always gotta make sure you have kid friendly things to do :francis:" But when I travel overseas I see families with young kids on flights and the parents act like it's nothing and the kids seem to be chillin :hubie:Even when I reach I see tourist families with young kids and it seems under control. Is it really necessary there's ALWAYS things for the kid to do? :patrice:

The thought of all my traveling coming to a complete stop because I have a kid has me :mjtf: I figure if it comes down to it I'm going to the airport, throwing the kid in a baby bjorn, stuffing a pacifier in their mouth, and keeping it moving :martin: BUT I'm a childless breh though so someone please enlighten me :feedme:

I wouldn't call it expensive, but more stressful and you need to accommodate your child at all times.

I don't have a child, but I have seen folks with them in the airports, tourist places, and etc.

1. You can't get a babysitter or you can't find a trustworthy one while on vacation. I wouldn't trust anyone with my child. I don't care how much I wanna party and do etc. My child will be with me at all times.

2. Little kids are impulsive and crowded places can be a scary moment for your child. If you are in NYC, everyone is transient, hustling, and moving. You can lose your child or your child could get severe anxiety or sensory overload.

3. Children under 5 or 6 may need a stroller because of walking so far. You gotta carry it up escalators, onto ferries, and etc. Some places didn't allow them so you gotta trust that no one will steal ya stuff.

4. Feeding kids can be hard, especially babies. At Disney World or amusement parts, they normally have a baby section for bottles, but in major cities, you gotta search for microwave.
5.You done fukked up if they gotta pee. :sadcam: I waited 30 minutes for the toilet. Imagine a child who won't tell you when they are almost ready to go. They tell you when they are about to go. I saw a guy running with his child and the baby was peeing on him. just tragic! so you gotta pack spare clothes.

6. It can get crazy quickly. Are you prepared to move your little person and go? You gotta respond quickly for yourself and them.

I can go on forever on traveling with a kid. I have held a baby on a plane while the mother went to the potty. Its stressful and I can see why someone hasn't done it.

You can still travel with kids, but you gotta know your limitations and their temperament.

Are there any posters on here who are from or currently live in Thailand, Morocco, Japan, Indonesia, Russia or Norway?

If so, and you don't mind, could you @ me please? I'm just looking to get more information about these places from people with boots on the ground.

Thank you in advance.
