I haven't been to LA as an adult so I can't speak on it. I've been to SF a few times. I really enjoy it. The weather is usually pretty nice and the people are pretty chill. Good food and some nice sights to see. If you can find a cheap flight I say go.

Gotcha. Gonna probably chill on LA till end of summer or middle of summer.

How is Cambodia....I heard u lived there for a lil
minute...

I know it’s nice and cheap so that’s my type of spot especially since my vacations be so long.

I got a couple months off and imma hit SE Asia one more time and close that traveling chapter and then move on to see the rest of the noncac world :mjpls:

Maaan...Cambodia was the trip of my life I swear. Was 19 yrs old at the time. Was interning there for 10 weeks. Company covered a 3rd of my flight then covered my accommodations (which was top notch). That was when I really caught the solo travel bug. Sometimes I look at the pics it be like :mjcry:

Seems just yesterday when I touched down in Phnom Penh and my manager picked me up from the airport.

I'll post pics and share my experiences when I get home

Off season?

Yea, off-season/non-peak season is when most people refrain from traveling to a particular location, either due to less favourable weather, lack of events or general holiday patterns. It’s also called bumper seasons in the airline industry.

Off-season has some general patterns but varies from location to location.

Examples:

Peak season to go to Dubai is in December because the weather is far more tolerable. Off season would be June-August. Weather gets to like 110 F.

Europe; In general, most of summer is peak season. The weather is the best and a lot of tourists flock in. Also, a lot of Europeans head out. Off peak is like Feb-early May.

Rio and NOLA’s peak season is usually around Carnival/Mardi Gras, and then it tables off from there.

I like traveling in off season when I want to avoid crowds, tourists and when I want to get a more “local” experience. You also get better prices for the most part.

And bro you 100% correct about the off-season shyt. I went to Thailand during highseason and it was a slight let down compared to when I went during low season.

I’m going during rainy season this year and I got me a nice condo for $30 a day..Thailand cheap anyway but I’m going during the cheapest time of the year. Balling on a budget :ohlawd:

Unless I can squeeze in mid-June, I may have to plan for next year then for London. I guess June isn't really offseason for many places. I'm going anywhere in the middle-east right now.

Yea breh do share.

There you go breh. Just a quick "tour" of the pics. I have a whole bunch more but it'd take a while to upload them and give them the proper detail needed.

Side note: it was mad humid when I was there. A lot of the pics are kind of foggy. I also had an S4 at the time and the camera was messing up. Anyway

  • First couple pics were of my spot in Phnom Penh. This serviced apartment called "Central Mansions". That joint was ridiculous. They'd clean the place after I left for work every day. Iron and fold my clothes too, :wow:. I'd bring chicks back and it was on
  • There's a video of the Mekong River which cuts through Phnom Penh. Lot of restaurants and bars further down (it was called 'Riverside'). I'd jog down the river every now and then
  • Some random shots of areas near my office. I worked in 'Soma Tower', my desk is the one with the red carpet. That cobra looking building was called "Vattanac Capital". Built by a Chinese Business man and is/was one of the first skyscrapers in Phnom Penh. Attracted a lot of international business that had offices in the area.
  • Some aerial shots of Cambodia, the Cambodian stock exchange and this place where I used to play soccer Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Nightlife pics. Main bars I went to were Mad Monkey, Blue Dog Bar, Reggae Rooftop and Top Banana. All roads led to Pontoon Club though. And yes, I was PAWGing heavy that summer :yeshrug:
  • There are two videos I took when it was deep into monsoon season and we got plastered with rain
  • Some food pics and pics of my manager (dude in white dress shirt). We went out to get some duck....that thing was serious :whoo:. It was like $2 as well.
  • The last couple pics are from when I went to Angkor Wat.
  • I also through in some pics from when I went to Kuala Lumpur to visit my high school classmate

Amazing trip man. I'm so glad I jumped at it. I was apprehensive at first because I wanted an internship in DC that'd pay me way more money and I could hit up HHs with my friends and to the whole "interning in the city thing". Boy am I glad I didn't make that decision. I work full-time now summers in DC are fun but stuff in mad expensive.

-In Cambodia I was going out 3-4 times a week spending $15-$20 a night :pachaha:
-My commute was a 7 min walk. Come back midday for a siesta and go back to the office :ohlawd:
-Came down with like $3,000 saved up. Plus the company still hit me with a $200 a week stipend :myman:

Where do you guys book your travel? Are most of these flight-hotel combos worth it?

I normally book everything separate.

I just went to expedia and did a flight and hotel combo search to London 6/10-6/13). At first glance, most shyt is from $1,300 - $1,500.
