Yep I went solo I only travel by myself as I don’t like travelling with others and did not know a soul. And literally just 3 weeks before.

Summer months are the best weather wise but I had great weather when I was down there
What type of accommodations did you stay in?

Just did a Airbnb rented a private room in someone house

Cost me like 420 cdn around 350 usd for 7 night

Literally I only slept woke up showered gone for the day returned at like 1am and rinse and repeated

Cheapest hotel with decent ratings I could find was like double that

See I'm not a millennial, I'm used to hotels. If I do Airbnb, then I want the whole place to myself.

I’m almost 34 always been like you

But I saved like 500 bucks and I was never there, never even saw the homeowner etc
I may do it. I'm just used to going back to the hotel in-between the day to recharge. When did you have time to rest if you was constantly out? I'm curious about your itinerary for 7 days.

I had no time to rest but that’s what I like

First day I landed at 6am once I got out of customs reached the place I was staying at 8 dropped my bag and headed to the mall, came back at 2 as that is when I could check in. Showered and went back out to take photos of the London eye etc didn’t return back till like 1am came back slept

Next morning up 7am showered and was out walking by 8am didn’t return back till 1am every day same thing

This was pretty much my Euro trip as well. Get out like 9am, not return till like 12-1am. But it was a trip of sight seeing, not really a R&R vacation. After like 10 days of all day traveling and walking you'll definitely be gassed. In Amsterdam it was worse because I'd be biking the entire day :russ:

How was Amsterdam ? Thinking of going on a day trip

Yeh I got tired after Paris I went to bed 12am woke up 3am to reach some airport on the outskirts of London - Luton airport to catch a 630am flight to Paris then I left Paris same day at 11pm and by the the time I reached my Airbnb it was like 130

I’m not the type to sit around and stuff on vacays so Airbnb work for me

Worst was Nigeria when I was paying like 270 a night at Eko hotel and I was barely in my room never again

Amsterdam was amazing breh. Such a quaint city. I was about 15 mins from Centrum (city center) so my area was far more relaxed. Probably one of the most unique cities I've ever been too. I would take bike rides in the city at like 2 am just cruising and relaxing.

Same thing happened to me. Was in London for 3 nights (also had to fly to Amsterdam from Luton :russ:, Easy Jet), then in Amsterdam for another 3 nights, then Paris for 4 nights. By the 2nd night in Paris I was mad exhausted.

My South Africa/Kenya trip was the same in terms of movements. Except I got to SA on a Saturday afternoon right in the middle of some serious action. Was moving from spot to spot, only ate once in my first 2 days there.:wow:

Ohhh yea Eko Suites it creme de la creme breh. Next time you touch down in Lag check out these short term vacation rentals/serviced apartments. I've heard they're becoming more and more popular for budget travelers that don't need all the bells and whistles.

Thank goodness I got fam with spots in Ikeja and Ikoyi :wow:

I'm not an experienced traveler, so I don't know if I'm doing all that. If I go I'll want a hotel since it's my first time overseas since I was 5 years old.

Maybe I'll just do it for a weekend and not an entire week.

Traveling takes time to get into the hang of it. The more you do it, the more you know what you want and what you’re willing to accept/not accept.
