How much and how long?

Multi-city ticket: $1.1k with Ethiopian. Very good price seeing as multi-city tickets tend to be more expensive and can involve hopping on multiple airlines, having long layovers and overall bad logistics.

I could have gotten an $820 ticket with Turkish but I was BSing on pulling the trigger because I didn't have my SA tourist visa yet. :francis:. Once the $820 sold out I just copped the Ethiopian flight with the quickness. Fingers crossed for my SA visa, although I don't think I'll get denied.

Length: 16 days. 8 in SA, 8 in Kenya. Starting of in Jo'burg then will be off to Nairobi (which is also where I'll celebrate my Bday)

My mind is ready :wow:

My pockets are flush :whew:

I'm in the gym getting tightened up :blessed:

After a 2 year hiatus your boy is back on his international movements :banderas:

Pretty much. There are things I enjoy doing that can be done solo (museums, shopping, sightseeing, etc.) If not that then yea, I'll just walk around by myself and see what I can stumble upon. I also try to chat people up for recommendations as far as places to eat or spots for nightlife. Sometimes that leads to them actually showing me around later which is dope because then I get a local's perspective.

As far as going out/partying, it's only weird if you make it weird. I don't think so much about "I'm in here by myself, I don't want to look awkward." It's more like "I'm by myself in another country which means I can do whatever the hell I feel like doing:blessed:" Truth be told, I've done some damage while traveling and partying dolo:shaq:

The greatest thing about traveling solo dolo is being able to move at your own pace. It's easier for one person to tag along to a group than it is for 2 or 3 people.

When I travel I invite my people more so out of courtesy than need. When you're on your own and setting your own agenda :wow:

I'm just reading through this thread in preparation for my SA and Kenya trip.

My man @Lucky_Lefty was really out there in Accra :wow:

I was out there in high school about 6 years ago for a week long field trip (I went to high school in Nigeria). I absolutely loved it out there. The ladies :wow:

My uncle just got a job out there and he's eating heavy. He's like head IT director for a major bank that operates all over West Africa.

December 2018 finna be a movie:wow:

Lagos, Nigeria and Accra, Ghana :wow:

Lemme just get this Jo'burg and Nairobi trip done right quick.

Travel my coli brehs, travel :mjcry:

Back home in SA (CPT). They still love ya boy over here. Trip started out in Addis. Didn’t like it very well, cut it short and hit SA early. I’ve missed home :to: Here for the rest of the month

Yooo, I'll be in Jo'burg for a week in April. Where should I hit (fresh out of college if that helps). I have a good idea of places to hit up (Mandela Square, a few museums, etc.).

Anything else you'd suggest?

I'm in Brussels atm. Didn't have many expectations going in but I like it a lot here. So many moroccans here I feel more at home here than I do in the country I was born in lol.
