But South Africa is like Nigeria's rival. I gotta see what the country is like live and direct so I can trash talk them properly :ehh:

Why risk getting slumped ? South Africans are xenophobic as hell and less educated than you naija PHD n!ggas

@Cynic Bro, how was your time in South Africa? I'm debating between there (JoBurg specifically) and Nairobi for my birthday in April. Probably gonna be there for like 2 weeks.

I was in Cape Town breh. Bagged some colored girl and 2 suthu girls. Restaurants are dirt cheap like too cheap
for the quality of food. I hit Table Mountain, the beach in Melkbosstrand and a vineyard and didn't get into
too much debauchery because I had to see my old man and help him with some biz-related matters and
I don't drink anymore so that's that.

One thing that got me was the sheer amount of cacs there. I don't f*kk with Boers at all but I'm used to Europeans

Next time i'm going to hit up a safari and maybe try some quaaludes ... :lolbron:

I've been meaning to see South Africa for a long time now. If the boys in SA wanna bring wahala then they should know we Naija boys are ready to match them :wow:.

But all jokes aside I think I'll be good. Most of the xenophobic attacks tend to be in the outskirts or so. One thing that is quite surprising is how high violent crime rates are in SA. Nigeria is a very very rough country but violent crime (at least not until too recently) was not that big of an issue. Boko Haram and oil militant groups aside, we don't really see a lot of violent crime.

Good info about Cape Town. I'll be in JoBurg so I don't think I'll be getting to that part. I'd rather be closer to the 'lifebeat' of South Africa. Cape Town seems like a trip for a 2nd or 3rd visit to SA.

Any recommendations for a high quality camera under $250-200 USD that I can take for traveling, just incase I lose my phone. Prefarably small and lightweight.

I lost my phone in Cambodia and when I went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia I had to borrow this dude in my hostel's iphone just to take pics. Lol, I gave him my macbook as collateral. :pachaha:

Anyone been to New Zealand? Thinking of going there for a week before I go Asia. I'm interested in Maori/Islander culture and wanna check out the LOTR site.
i've been to new plymouth for WOMAD. i'd love to go back. i was only there for about 3-4 days but when i had time off between playing at the festival, i'd go for long runs on the coast. also had a friend travel there years ago and she would always upload amazing hike pictures, the terrain is amazing and i'd love the chance to travel by foot around.

Nairobi, Kenya

:feedme:

I got a trip there planned for early April.

South Africa for a week (Jo'Burg) then Nairobi for a week. I'm too pumped man.

I'll be going solo to both countries but a few of my co-workers to put me in touch with some people in Nairobi so I have some people to link up with/hit the city with if I want to.

Would really appreciate your experience. Some other posters have already posted that Nairobi is wild fun.

Nairobi will always be one of my top favorite cities in the world. I know it too well. I have a love & hate relationship with it. Almost every night of the week, you wont miss out on anything to do....nightlife wise. Mondays can be alittle bit slow but that will be about it.
Women: If you have an american accent, you will be served plenty of p*ssy. You might as well call it a p*ssy buffet. All you need to do is dress classy (not gangsta.....hell no), be respectful, and a little bit of tips to bartenders will earn you major points. Maybe about $2 will be more than enough for a bartender and the bouncer. Make sure you make some male friends when you get there. We kenyans are very friendly especially to foreigners. They will help you and link you up to some of their friends. Also, try and do some facebook game to chicks. Tinder is not popular there. So stay away from it.
Food: We love beef and roasted goat meat. We call it nyama choma. If thats not your thing, we have plenty of american and british resturants but I guarantee you.......most of my american friends that have tried nyama choma end up loving it.
Uber: stick to uber if you are trying to travel around. You wont be ripped off. Oh!!!! Its one of the few countries Uber charges by cash.
Bars/Clubs: You will find everything in Nairobi. Classy/Expensive bars (Usually found in the west part of Nairobi called Westlands), medium bars mostly found in the city center of Nairobi, and low end bars found in poor areas of Nairobi (Stay away from these).
What time do bars close down..........whenever you feel going home?
I have been to a club from Saturday 10pm to Sunday 8 am. Felt crazy leaving the bar and seeing people heading to church....WTF :gucci:

Traffic is a bytch. I would recommend staying in Westlands. Plenty of classy clubs, resturants, malls, and the chicks that frequent here :whew:
Good thing about Westlands its filled with Kenyan chicks, Ethiopians, and pawgs. Every color of the rainbow spectrum. Just make sure you carry your magnums and go coochie hunting. 7 days tho? I would never hit Nairobi for 7 days. Two weeks maybe..
