Mostly trial and error. I don't like putting my business out there like that, but let it suffice to say that I started off doing mortgages, and then flipped the money I made brokering loans into other things. The key is find something where you can do constant flips with your startup/reup money. Small restaurant, cars, used technology, brand name gear are all good. buy in bulk, get a discount, and grind.
Props to getting your degree. Secondary education (whether the street or in college) is essential to being a "renaissance man". Don't quit your day job without a grip to startup, unless you feel you can hustle. Bare minimum IMHO to go the self-employed route is $10K, unless you feel you can live out of a car for a few months
Women, women, women my G. Best teachers around. Nothing helps you to remember like associating learning a language with sex. If you want to learn Spanish, pick a country you want to go to, and go to an online dating website for that country. Make some penpals. Start chatting with them, but in their own language. Use Google translate when they write to you, and use it in reverse, to learn how to express yourself in their language. After you finish, try to read the conversation and translate it mentally without Google translate assistance. Guarantee you within 3 months, even if the pronounciation is f*cked up, you will have picked up most of the basics. In the meanwhile, save some guap to go to where you want to go. By the time you ready to go, you got a stable of chicks waiting for you that you've pretty much prescreened and know a little, a rudimentary knowledge of the language, and cash to go to party and hang out over there I learned this method in Panama, and has been money for me ever since. Within 6 months I am speaking conversationally no problem. Anh muon yeu em dem nay
Im on the verge of something that would set me up pretty nice in the future brehs
Like dude said earlier in this thread, gain financial independence and then everything else will fall into play. Anyone reading any good books right now? Im looking for something motivational.
no problem fam if i find anymore i'll drop them in here.
The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.
― Nikola Tesla
Do not wait for science.
I just saw you in another thread on meditation. This is a really open ended question, but would you care to explain what led you to your current state of consciousness?
I ask that, because since I've moved to LA, I've had to downgrade my life money-wise, and as a result, I've reaped incredible mental and spiritual benefits. Not having cable, TV, etc, while chasing some dreams that require a lot of my time and energy, and are ambitious period, led me to a lot of motivational material, in addition to loads of literature, yoga, meditation, etc.
You said something in the meditation thread that stood out to me, and I believe I feel a similar way, but don't know if I'm about to articulate it the way I want to. You basically said that when you seek knowledge, the ways of the universe will become clear and you'll learn to manipulate it.
I've come to believe the same, but I'm not sure if I can articulate it. But basically, books like The Alchemist, Think and Grow Rich, The Artist's Way, The Prophet, in addition to other things I've been taught and philosophies from a lot of people, it feels like they all say the same types of things about the universe. If you have faith, the universe will get out of your way and bend to your will. Also, thoughts are tangible and with faith and persistence, they become a physical presence, etc. etc. But it seems like the brightest minds, or people who have been on the journey, all come to the same place or a similar place with regard to the universe. And scientists and the so-called bright minds know how to regurgitate what we already know, but their knowledge and understanding isn't expanded until someone who had faith makes a discovery or pushes boundaries of what we thought to be real.
Myself, I believe in Christ, and the book Think and Grow Rich said something that was so simple, but blew my mind. Basically, it said that so many Christians learn the bible and read it, but discount the fact that the entire point of Jesus' life was a living, breathing example of having faith. But yet, so many people follow religion, but lack faith in their lives.
And while an Atheist or someone who doesn't believe might dig deep within themselves, exhibit faith and make it come to pass, perhaps it's the same as me praying and having faith and walking in that faith. And regardless of whether you call him God or not, we have that energy within us for creativity, high intellect and belief, so when we take that leap and jump off the cliff, the universe, or God, or whatever you want to call it, will carry you, because that is the nature of the universe.
I don't know if I'm making sense, but it just seems that faith is the key element to all aspects of life, and everyone who knows what they're talking about, in all eras, seem to also come to this conclusion in some form or fashion.
Your looking at it through the Ego, separated point of view. The universe doesn't bend to your will. You are synchronized with it. You are god in body. We are all part of this matrix. There is literally a veil of darkness and separation over us. In higher dimensions there is only light.
Sync happens a lot stronger during celestial events. (the current super moon, the meteors earlier this year). During these events our thoughts seem to be more connected. I have had trouble "keeping people out of my head". a mix of anxiety, consciousness, and body language. Being my shadow self. I'm a broke Taurus we are materialistic. Doesn't work. Get it?
Anyways everyday WE exist as one. At the same damn time. This is why WE can relate to each other. We resonate. We ViBE-Rate. Vibrate higher. And yes, what you think and accept resonates out to the world. We are all stars, suns. We share the same Consciousness and the Same Ego, different bodies, brains and DNA.
Here's another trick. Always think Universal. Always think you are seen and heard at all times. You are Ein Sof. The empty mystery upon which anything you ponder is given credibility, i guess. If you absorb the Essence, the idea, the pinnacle, the perfection of something and you think and act like it, you absorb that quality. RZA states man is a thought antennae. Study chakra. But be truthful. You are light, a soul. The physical universe is a hologram. We are Neo.
It's fukked. Everything begins to "relate" to you. This is why you need no Ego. It sucks being a narcissistic pig. That is why your Ego, yes the Ego reading this, is tripping. Lol the 3rd Eye is One thing in All of Us. Humans are fruits on a tree. We have no names. Our identity is illusion, our Ego is illusion, shadow. The light of this truth , the pain you feel reading this, is your Ego being banished. Now you will begin to see yourself/truth, everywhere. You are a fractal of the matrix..
You and truth and light are eternal, always has been and always will be. But change is inevitable. Be open to it. This is the standard through which you will now hold all things in life. You will now be able to see through lies and intuitively know truth.
This post will accelerate this. Events like Ed Snowden is a sign of the times. Watch Colbert and The Daily Show. fukk, everything is a sign of the times.
Cheesy but follow your heart with this, always. Be you to the max. No limits on thoughts or "swag". The consciousness movement is now. This is the Age of Aquarius. The more conscious more of us are, the quicker everything will balance out.
This is Evolution. Krypton, here we come.
I'd tell you my personal story but maybe tomorrow.. im on my phone, not my comp.
My bad. Reread your post. Your right on point.
Might be a weird question, but do you practice tantric sex, breh?
I'm working on that now, but got a little ways to go. I'm self-employed but work like crazy and don't have the breathing room I'd like. Care to explain or summarize what you've got in the works?
As far as books, so far this year I've read The Alchemist, Think and Grow Rich, The Little Prince and Eleven Rings (Phil Jackson's book). Right now, I'm working on The Artist's Way (I'm breaking into TV writing and do standup, it helps people get their creativity out in kind of a spiritual way), The Richest Man in Babylon (Fiction story with themes and knowledge on finances), The Prophet and the first Game of Thrones book. I get so scatterbrained with my reading and finish them and move on to the next rotation based on how I'm feeling.
