This is a 2015 film with a 20% RT score.

This one was notable because it was written and directed by oren peli,whos name has become synonymous with horror due to how much he produces. But funny enough this is his first actual film he made since paranormal activity. Now Im a fan of the first PA so this was on my list. Its as you might guess a found footage film. The story is basic,a few friends have decided they are going to break into area 51 and record it. The first hour of the film is pretty boring to be honest as its all set up. The last 30 minutes or so is when they actually get inside. This one just didnt work for me. The characters were bland and forgettable. The first hour contains no suspense or well done build up. The last 30 minutes get moderately interesting I suppose buts its just so full of found footage tropes that its Theres maybe 1 scene with an effective tone. The ending is abrupt and unfufilling.

basically once they get there they find a ufo fukk around in the facility,set off an alarm,climb into some cavern beneath that contains generic grey aliens that you see very briefly. They run around scream,2 of them get out and are promptly sucked into the sky,though you dont see by what (aliens duh) then it ends. Pointless.

The tensest moment in the film is the short home invasion segment. They dropped the ball crazy hard.

I was planning on checking that out this weekend.

I also finally saw Green Inferno...
Literally the only part of that movie that wasn't complete trash was the plane crash.

I watched the whole movie but my mind disregarded it as soon as they actually got inside it. I know its a movie but

The Final Girls was okay. Some laughs to be had. It's a lot more dramatic than I was thinking that it was going to be. Went in totally blind though, so maybe that aspect was in the trailers and I missed it?



All of these characters in these old ass slashers belong to the world. Breh from workaholics is foolish.

There is something wild about seeing the girl have a heart to heart with her actually dead mother, before the mom commits that by walking out to kill herself.

Saw A Christmas Horror Story.. had low expectations based on the weak trailer but was surprised it was actually a solid horror anthology flick.. It's like the Christmas version of Trick R Treat.

Eyes With No Face classic horror flick... movies like this always kinda shock me with how dark they are because I don't expect older flicks to be as violent or disturbing as more recent flicks, but this one is definitely way ahead of it's time.
