Kevin really loved Clara. She lit up his life. Her eyes were like diamonds hanging from a chandelier and she had hair like a fine silk shirt. Her skin was so soft it was like velvet when she wrapped her self around him. But the best thing about Carla, Kevin thought was her big heart, which was sitting on the table next him.

What you think about This? @storyteller @Nicole0416 @MartyMcFly

I love ish like this fam, where is hits all the horror beats in quick succession and shows how quickly and directly you can create a scare. It reminds me of one that I got passed along as the world's shortest horror story. That made it easy to remember. Something along the lines of "the last man on Earth hears a knock at the door."

Thanks. I want to do a couple of these. I already have this and one other.

Do you have plans for these format and sharing wise? They remind me of the concept lines that start that one Netflix series (2 sentence horror stories) so there's potential to expand 'em. Then there's also pages like the Instagram @Nicole0416 which show it's format you could definitely find lanes to produce content with. I'd definitely be curious to see more and play with the format myself :salute:

So I finally finally got around to Midsommar. Not for me :russ: I just couldn’t get into it. And it’s not about Ari. I just couldn’t find an entrance with these characters. It almost felt like Kubrick in how it’s detached a bit.

Also very disappointed in Tammy and the trex. A premise Ike that demands more fukkery. That shyt was subdued as hell. Not funny enough or at all and not scary enough or at all. Meh

@cac poster. We told you it was cheeks.

See I'm not quite on the ass cheeks train (what a train) in 2020. I think referring to any movie as "bad" or "good" is reductive and actually hurts discourse. It's art; the shyt either works for you or it doesn't. That said, Midsommar doesn't work for me. I don't like it. But I'm very open to the idea someone else could like it and it moves them because I've heard those opinions and I respect it

A Villa Straylight.
The road was pitch black. Carl could barely see in front of his high beams. He'd drove as fast as the limit would allow him. He wish he could drive faster, but didn't want to alert the local authorities, he had heard stories of police in sundown towns. He could see the highway up ahead and almost sighed with relief until he heard the whirring of klaxon's. He stopped the car and pulled over to the side of the road and said a silent prayer that he would come out of this alive.

"Driver step out of the vehicle." Carl got out of the car and saw the officer pointing the gun.

"Step this way." The officer motioned and as soon as Carl go into range of him. The office opened fire. Carl was frozen for a second he felt a hand touch his shoulder.

"Good thing we saw you when we did or that thing would have gotten you." The officer pointed to the car and in the back seat was something that looked like a goat with human legs.

"We try to have everyone inside by sundown since, well stuff like this goes out at night."

The officers carted the body away and Carl got back in his car. The left rear glass was shattered. The officer leaned down and handed him a card. "There's an auto repair shop next town over tell 'em Clint sent ya. Don't worry, They're friendly folk. Drive safe now."

And with that the police left and Carl continued on his way, sure to never come this way again and invest in a fire arm.

2 things...

1. this reminds me of the story from one of the "Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark" books where this lady driving was getting freaked out by the driver behind her who kept flashing his high beams or some shyt.
only to reveal there was someone in the back seat of her car the whole time.

2. woulda been cool if Carl was actually Carl Lucas (Luke Cage) and the cop fired at him hitting him and the bullet boucing off and striking the cop in the forehead killing him instantly.

Thought is was dope.
I already started storyboarding it in my head for what it would look like on film.
