Unfriended was a fukkin waste

Im confident that Sinister 2 is going to be great...the first one creeped me the fukk out.

Looking forward to seeing the next Paranormal. I know that most people hate the franchise but I love it.

Let us know what you think of Sinister 2. I liked the first one (didn't love it but it was solid) but I think the trailer for 2 looks too similar to part 1 so I'ma hold off until I hear what other horror heads and critics are saying.

i know that most people especially horror lovers hate paranormal activity but the neverending story line and many twists and turns and sheer evilness of the actions by the main characters in the franchise is entertaining.

So I've decided I'm going to watch every horror film on (Canadian) netflix. I expect a lot of trash, some so bad its good fukkery and hopefully find a couple gems.

Started with Creep (2014 film) which has a 93% RT score :leon:

Movie was barely horror, more of a black comedy. Guy hires another guy to film him for a day because hes dying of cancer and wants to document his life. Anyway, things start getting strange as the guy is,well,a creep. Its got an alright twist, and thankfully its short. Dont expect any scares or any interesting film making as its found footage and low budget.

4/10

Once I realized Pete from the League was the main villain, I couldn't take it serious. Doesn't help that it was rather boring and anticlimactic.

are we talkling about the same creep? The british film set in the london underground?
It started off well but dragged on..reminded me of the 70's horror/cannibal chiller set on another london underground line, Death Line (1972), i was a fan of this.

Im back with 4 more netflix reviews :whew:

Alright,first up is

abcs-of-death.jpg

2012 film with a 35% RT

The film is an anthology,it has 26 short films. Each short film is done by different directors, each one assigned a letter, they take that letter and choose an word beginning with that and create their piece. Seems kind of a neat idea :usure:

Nah son. Nah. :bryan: Im not huge on anthologies because usually its not enough time to create anything interesting, and thats usually with 4 or so segments. This shyt has 26. Took me 3 days to watch this fukkin fetus of a film. Of the 26,their is about 4 that I didnt mind. Some of them were so bad, particularly the one for "fart" that I had to shut it off out of disgust. I was going to watch the sequel but I dont think I can do it.

A 2010 film with an 84% RT:jbhmm:

This is a smaller budget Canadian film. Its a horror comedy/satire. I have to say I was blown away by how much I loved this film:ohhh:. I went in blind and had no idea what it was other than a silly looking poster. Its basically a satire film,in the vein of a cabin in the woods or youre next to some extent. Even though I thought both those films were nicely done I cant say I actually enjoyed watching them or would rewatch them. But this, not only am i going to rewatch it Im going to buy it. Instead of being like cabin... where its oh look how clever I am,arent I clever esque writing:troll:,it uses comedy to get its point across. There was scenes that legit had me in tears of laughter. The way they subverted some of the tropes with very very clever scene arrangements was :pachaha: And katrina bowden is sexy as fukk, any 30 rock fan will recognize her as cerie.

Next up Im sure most of ypu have seen this one but I havent

Abraham_Lincoln_-_Vampire_Hunter_Poster.jpg

2012 film with a 35% RT

Ill keep this review brief since im sure most have seen it.
The premise of the film always made me not want ro see it for whatever reason, and it just looked like a silly stylized vampire graphic novel. Which,it kind of was. :ehh: But I didnt hate it. It had some decent acting, passable cinematography and some talent in the film making. The writing was okay. I wasnt a huge fan of the vampires themselves, they seemed cheap and hokey looking, :francis: No real horror to speak of really. Meh.

I had avoided this film due to the fact the poster looks like some syfy shyt. :sadcam: but riding off the high of tucker and dale I was like might as well bring myself down :upsetfavre: and dived in.

:leon: Another hidden gem! Now its not perfect by any means but I was surprised as hell. Its a monster film that takes place in ireland. The shots of ireland were :lawd: you can tell very easily this film wears its shaun of the dead influence on its sleeve. Right down to a couple homage scenes and a pub playing a key factor. One of the plot reveals involves the characters needing to be drunk :heh: which leads to some hilarious scenes. Its part monster film, part satire, part homage. And it works quite well. The cgi on the grabbers is also a nice surprise. I enjoyed this one. The humour isnt quite on edgar wrights level (whos is?) But not bad at all. :win:
