Karen (Zoë Tapper) and John (Ed Speleers) lost the spark of married life the day they were notified that they were unable to conceive. Now the couple live almost like the walking dead, imprisoned by everyday life and on the verge of divorce.

When the world is hit by a pandemic that really turns people into zombies, the couple have to lock themselves in their apartment, waiting for rescue. While the world outside is falling apart, they are forced to find their way back to each other and reclaim their lost love….

I have an inkling of a feeling it'll get this huge Oscar push. It has all the necessary qualities (da holocaust) and would be a way to capitalize on the hype of horror's domination of the 2017 and 2018 box office

But I have a lot of qualms about it trying to do, as the kids say, The Most.
I did. It was...something. Not quite sure what though.:marquis:
I almost had to walk out of the theater during the climax (You already know what scene I'm referring to).

CAM

CAM is a technology-driven psychological thriller [that] follows Alice (Brewer), an ambitious camgirl, who wakes up one day to discover she’s been replaced on her show with an exact replica of herself. As this copy begins to push the boundaries of Alice’s internet identity, the control that Alice has over her life, and the men in it, vanishes. While she struggles to regain what she’s lost, she slowly finds herself drawn back to her show and to the mysterious person who has taken her place.

Honestly it was the scene after that which pissed me off the most. That, and the amount of minutes it took to get there

The climactic scene was really well constructed in terms of how they choreographed the ritual and the way the entire scene was set up, and how Tilda performed her hesitative measures to Johnson. But then when Luca got all horny with the digital effects (digital gore and the “homage” of red tint on the camera) it started to seem a little ham fisted. But like I said, that denouement with Klemperer being visited in bed was all just feel goody tripe trying to reach out of the realm of the overall tone and frankly the point of the movie. He tried it

I rewatched Creep last night and I would definitely rank it and its sequel in to the category of modern classics. Duplass really fukking killed that role...like I feel like that’s a super underrated performance in the genre

He shifts between creepy and endearing like four times in the runtime and it ends so perfectly quaint

Watched Pandorum yesterday and about 30 mins in I realized I saw it already but I was so locked in I just kept that bytch running. Dope ass movie. shyt reminded me a lot of The Island as far as the aesthetic and the whole incubation theme. After I knock out this list I might fukk with space horrors exclusively for a bit. I been sleeping on the sub-genre.

Severance was basura. Don't fukk with it. Person that suggested it to me didn't mention that it was a british movie so a lot of corny cac humor in there. When you gotta reach for the race joke in the first 10 mins when it's not even necessary then you know the writing is trash. As far as the pacing, the movie picked up towards the end. First half dragged. Don't waste your time.

Tales From The Hood II was good. I liked the underlying messages in each of the stories. That last jawn where dude was tryna run for governor had a great message especially now considering we just had mid-terms and there was a lot of voter suppression going on in Black areas. Still tho....this is a horror movie so I expect....horror. Felt like I was watching a Lifetime movie/ABC Family TV special. Like, I saw what they were trying to do but it was corny af. I think they could've done better considering that was the last story in the anthology but as a whole I fukked with it :ehh:
Watched the new "Halloween" recently, it was cool but nothing special :yeshrug:
Yea I just saw it yesterday. shyt was straight.

Mile in the Sky
Rewatched Cabin in the Woods for no reason other than I love that movie and yep, it's still a modern classic in my book.
I just like the 3rd act mainly. Watched it last night but always turn it off right when they make it down to the bunker after the Merman is shown lol.
