Its going to be an anthology series that takes place in Castle Rock (where several of Stephen King's books took place) and will be the entry point into sort of a Stephen King Universe where events that happened in King's books will be referenced and even some characters may make an appearance.

Everything I have heard about it makes me really eager to see it.
Have you ever seen The Langoliers? I remember watching it when I was younger and didn’t understand the concept or plot of that at all.it was a mini series- think I was too young to understand it.

That’s stephen king too, right? I vaguely heard of that.
The dark tower is a series of books spanning like 30 something years.

It’s Stephen kings magnum opus. Basically all of kings work is in some way connected to the dark tower. The mist,the stand,IT,etc their all connected. Characters and events come from or are effected by events in the dark tower.

It’s one of my favourite book series of all time.

Originally they had a very ambitious plan. They were going to make 3 films with seasons of tv show in between all one big story.

Instead we got 1 terrible film that was like 90 minutes and might as well have not even been called the dark tower. 8 books crammed into a 90 minute film. Awful.

The only way to do it correctly would be a prestigious show on HBO or Netflix etc.

@RGM
Digging into my backlog

The Rig -
Actually pretty good until the very end - the main movie is tied up 10 minutes before it ends, then they try to wrap up a character driven side plot - i was like:dwillhuh:

The thaw

this one was surprisingly good for a low budget flick

Yeah, I also read the book a million years ago. It isn't one of my favorite King books but I liked the TV movie even with the limitations that it had due to be a 1990s broadcast TV movie.
The plot is basically that a bunch of people wake up to discover they are the only people left on their flight and when they land also discover there are monsters attacking them.
I think they realized they flew through some dimensional portal or something but I am sketchy on it because I haven't seen or read it in quite a while.
