Wong had writing credits on a lot of dopeness, but mainly on the tv side that I recall.

Idle Hands was a favorite of mine growing up. That movie started my Jessica Alba love. If you can appreciate what Devon Sawa does in Final Destination, he takes that up a notch for Idle Hands and it's great...or at least it was when I was younger. I haven't watched it in a really long time.
I skimmed thru it recently, it's not a movie I'd watch today

Microwave Massacre (1979)
Comedy Horror

TRAILER IS DEFINITELY NSFW

what can i say about this
this movie is wild as fukk - more toilet humor than a South park episode
Tons of nudity , bloody as fukk, Stereotypes everywhere
i found it entertaining as hell , it doesn't do any one thing particularly well, but it just works

Basic plot - Construction worker with an Al bundy like life and attitude buys his wife the newest invention of the 70's--
A microwave-- she starts to cook "fancy" meals while all this nikka wants is a "sammich" - He gets picked on at work about about and decides
"to do something about it"
In true horror movie fashion
Fukkery ensues

And has the oddest final scene, villain dispatch in horror movie history.
Only thing missing from this movie is Joe Spinnell ( IYKYK) Nic Cage of 70's/80's horror
the main character does a great impression , but its not the same.

I watched Idle Hands sometime this week. I still enjoyed it. It's a late 90s/early 2000s stoner comedy version of Evil Dead 2. I always forget Vivica A. Fox is in the movie for whatever reason.

I rewatched it because I heard Jessica Alba got divorced. Should I watch her version of The Eye? I've never seen it.

Just peeped the cast and see Foggy Nelson from Daredevil’s in it too, lol. Will check it sometime.

It snowed like crazy, so binging the last three Final Destination movies felt like destiny. Quick thoughts on each:

Final Destination 2:

The dope thing about FD2 is that it's a direct sequel to the original. So, while it keeps a similar recipe, it changes the formula enough to be the most unique narrative in the series IMO. This one's got the best opening kill sequence, another strong cast of characters, and the most "lore" of the series.

As far as flaws go, the characters are all strangers at first. So, this one doesn't have the strong dynamics between characters that made the first one feel more personal. Exploring the lore also cuts into the time for setting up death scenes. So, we kinda speed run through a bunch of deaths in the final act without the one-by-one.

This one's strong. The fact it connects directly to the original pays off big.

Tony Todd detour:
The FD people knew they had their true star in Tony Todd. He makes a return and it feels like he realizes the direction this franchise is heading before everyone else. He turns the dial up on his character three notches to be much more unrestrained and overtly threatening with his delivery.

I prefer the version of this character in part 1, but Tony's still bodying the performance.

Final Destination 3:
The third film in the sequence feels the most like the original, which is unsurprising since it's by the same director. It focuses on what audiences remember most about the series...overly intricate death setups and a race to figure out what the clues mean about the next victim in line.

This one's got great death scenes, with a bunch of misdirection (which I think is the key to all the best deaths in the series). It also has my favorite ending of the bunch. We always close with the survivors realizing Death hasn't let them go, and this one does it in the coolest way.

If we're talking downsides, while the character dynamics are back for this one, the characters are becoming caricatures. The main pair still have depth, but everyone else is just a trope to help load up a roster for killing off. Even so, this is another strong entry.

Tony Todd detour:
This is Tony Todd's least involved film. But he still turns up as a foreboding voice for one of the attractions in the amusement park. My hot take is that they ran out of stuff to do with his character. By making him "scary" in part two, they lost a chance to make him the Dr. Loomis of the series...he should have been showing up to warn each group, but more unhinged each time because Death always succeeds.

I swear Tony Todd woulda pulled off a more sympathetic version of the character even better than his ominous version. Anyway, they blew that golden opportunity.

Final Destination 4:
Alright, I'm saying it...underrated. FD4 has the second-best opening death sequence of the series, including how it sets everyone else up for their eventual demise. It leans into the order of deaths as heavily as it can while taking everything else pretty lightly.

Character dynamics are working again, with George being a pretty dope addition who supports the characters instead of doubting them.

As for the flaws, it's pure formula. This is part one, the redux, with worse characters and kills. To make matters worse, it's got the dumbest characters and decision-making of the bunch. I think the hate for this movie is because it's when Final Destination Sequels completed their transformation into self-parody.

Tony Todd detour:
The other reason this is the most hated film of the series is a complete lack of Tony Todd.

Final Destination 5 a CGI disaster:
This is the true worst movie in the series, though it's still not bad. They tweak the formula by saying, "if you're on death's list and kill somebody, you take that person's extra time." It's a super interesting idea, but they don't do enough with it IMO.

Outside of the formula tweak, we also have a really clever twist ending. It brings everything full circle and makes this feel like a fitting conclusion for the series. But that's all for the bright spots.

The downsides are plentiful... I rate its opening sequence the weakest of the bunch. The cast is also the weakest, and their relationships just sort of shift and change as the plot needs them to. The most significant weakness comes from most death scenes lacking that extra creative "oomph." The gymnastics death is elite, but everything after that relies too much on CGI instead of actually doing anything novel or distinct.

Tony Todd detour:
Tony Todd returns, just popping up at a funeral and saying cryptic scary shyt to the protagonists. He's still in his part two bag, and bodying the role.
