Been a while since I posted in this thread. Trying to cut back my time here, but these disasters (LA wildfires and plane crashes) been calling me back to post.
Anyways, watched these movies over the week. All first time views:
The Cell
-Good film with some nice visuals. I remember hearing about it back in the day but wasn’t interested in this kind of film as a youngster. Always trippy to see actors in roles before they were known (Dean Norris of Breaking Bad fame). J-Lo was solid in the role and it was something definitely different than what she did or is known for. The Arrow Video booklet is heavy with essays and I like that.
The Faculty
-Watched this a day before they announced the remake. Pretty weird coincidence. I thought it was decent, but not on par with the cult hype it gets. I don’t think Usher even had a dialogue role

. Seeing Selma Hayek was surprising.
Rosemary’s Baby
-this was a film I’ve had on my mind for years. Finally found the blu for a decent price and bought it. Definitely lives up to the hype. Would have loved to see this movie when it came out because it reminds me of Psycho with the wild plot for its time.
Apartment 7A
-watched it right after watching RB. Pretty solid prequel. Only seen Julie in the first season of Ozark and didn’t think much of her, but she shines here. Also looks cute with the hair color. The way the character is used in RB definitely isn’t like the one portrayed in the ending of this movie tho.
