Finally got around to the substance. I give it a 7.5. Don't think it's amazing like some people are saying. The visuals were dope. Appreciated all the titties and bush. But one thing in particular annoyed the hell outta me and completely took me out of the film.

---SPOILERS--

Elizabeth wasn't retaining any of the memories that Sue experienced, so what the fukk was the point?.....I figured that was the whole purpose of it. That you get to become young and beautiful for a week. But if you're not actually experiencing it then you're just sacrificing yourself for a completely different person:what:.....the shyt makes zero sense. Elizabeth literally had nothing to gain from this exchange except excruciating pain and agony.

Yeah, that was kind dumb about the movie. They don’t share the same memories/mind, just genetics, I guess.

Finally watched the last Toxic Avenger. What the fukk did I just watch? :dahell:

It’s off the wall, foul, disgusting, and offensive, but the violence and gore deliver. Despite the weirdo film, it’s better than the previous 2. :ld:

James Gunn plays a Stephen Hawking parody character. How did this creep takeover DC?:skip:

Elizabeth was washed in the eyes of Hollywood and desperate enough to do anything that would retain her youth and success, even if that meant having Sue act as a surrogate for her. This is what drives her to continue on with it throughout.

Yeah, I took it for a metaphor on how people look at themselves before and after plastic surgery.

I Saw The TV Glow aka I Saw My Time Wasted. My 2024 pick for “who green lit this shyt? :what:

Seriously, who the fukk read the first 45 pages of the script and was interested in moving forward with it? :scust:
I started it, got bored, stopped it. It's "award show" horror to me, though it keeps getting positive reviews and listed as one of the year's best...so maybe it's just not for me. I'm glad I'm not the only one :blessed:

I need some new found footage to watch. Last year I saw all the hits. Frogman, Late Night with the Devil. Anything else I should see?
Let me consult my list...

Not very good but if you love Found Footage from 2024: Mind, Body, Soul

Good low-budget movie with elements of Found Footage: Beezel

K-Horror with a super cool premise that I haven't peeped but need to see: A Strange House
U.S. horror with cool premise that I haven't peeped but need to see: Puzzle Box

Not 2024 Found Footage, but Certified Good and on Tubi (in order of obscurity):
Banshee Chapter
Final Prayer
Lake Mungo

Edit: I think the trailers are fine to check for all of these EXCEPT for Final Prayer. The trailer for Final Prayer tells you all the twists, and I think you're better off going in blind. It's the best movie I've mentioned here, except for maybe Lake Mungo but a lot of people have already seen Lake Mungo because it's an all-timer.

It’s more fantasy, but even that lacks. The praise is probably because they have dude in a dress. fukkin 5 minute exposition scene explaining her backstory. :scust:

fukkin hate how mediocre, forgettable films get praised. :camby:

I just can't believe somebody could ever get that desperate. You're basically agreeing to die every 7 days. Makes no sense. There's zero positives. So I think it was just a flaw in the writing. That was the main reason I couldn't connect with this movie. Unique idea but the execution was off. Still an entertaining watch though. The visuals were dope.
