Currently watching Night of the Demons. Passed the 45 minute mark and no real horror has happened. Was expecting some killer deaths after the first act break, but nope. :unimpressed:

Edit: took 53 minutes for something decent to happen. :childplease:

Finished. It’s ok. Wouldn’t watch again.

Nosferatu killed it at the box office. It's the best horror opening on Christmas ever, dethroning The Faculty, of all movies—21 million at the box office.

If Focus is smart, they’re holding onto that man for dear life and giving him blank checks for any project he wishes to do. I wasn’t all that high on Nosferatu, but Eggers is Eggers. Dude is a special talent.

Smile 2 has won me over for the best horror of 2024, with Oddity a close 2nd.

And I must say, Werewolves was not bad at all. Granted, I went into the movie with Sci-fi expectations (3 out of 10) but ended up being a solid 7.

fukk off with bringing that bullshyt here. :camby:

Movie takes too long to get interesting. And the gore/violence is just decent. You’re telling me a bunch of possessed zombie demons gathering together couldn’t grab a 120 pound woman’s legs and bring her down? :mjlol:

People want to see his work, and I'm sure he'll knock something out the park sooner or later. His biggest challenge is topping the Witch, but everything he drops is quality from a cinematic and acting perspective. Someone get that man a genuine Jack the Ripper horror script and watch him gift us with magnificence.

@RGM
Been busy with year end close at work and haven't been posting regularly. Did not have a chance to watch any Christmas fukkery this year. Almost done though.
Need to get back into my 80s watch through.

Good list below
Did not realize Takashi Miike dropped a flick this year.

Finally got around to the substance. I give it a 7.5. Don't think it's amazing like some people are saying. The visuals were dope. Appreciated all the titties and bush. But one thing in particular annoyed the hell outta me and completely took me out of the film.

---SPOILERS--

Elizabeth wasn't retaining any of the memories that Sue experienced, so what the fukk was the point?.....I figured that was the whole purpose of it. That you get to become young and beautiful for a week. But if you're not actually experiencing it then you're just sacrificing yourself for a completely different person:what:.....the shyt makes zero sense. Elizabeth literally had nothing to gain from this exchange except excruciating pain and agony.

Happy New Year horror fam! I'ma start with a new suggestion...it comes in sub and dub format.

New K-Horror Series on Hulu The Light Shop:

I only watched the first episode, but it was VERY promising. It has a clever build-up, fun bits of ghost stories, and a chilling conclusion. I thought the trailer looked like an anthology series, but it's actually just connecting a handful of characters' stories. I'm pretty excited about the potential.
