Its........decent
not a a groundbreaker by any means, but it doesn't really have that i've seen it all before vibe either.
and its not boring by any means , its got a frenetic pace.
basically, a decent time waster .

Plus, my wife was like why does the lead actress look like James Frain? :russ: :dead:

Your wife is vicious ! :mjlol:
Jo Vannicola is a funny looking lady...she was in the most recent season of Slasher.

Anyone seen Winnie the Pooh: Blood & Honey 2 yet? One of the theaters near me had a special one night showing so I figured I'd check it out even though I thought the first one was ass.
Blood & Honey 2 is slightly better than the first movie but it's still not good. The influx of cash helped with the practical effects of the Pooh and them but they tried to give the 100 Acre wood creatures an origin story based more in the real world that made them come off as more pedestrian than if they ha gone th magical route.
And the new dude they cast as Christopher Robin was a terrible actor. Just non-stop whiny overacting from him all through the movie.
A couple of the kills were cool but most of them were overdone and too focused on making Pooh and them seem cool.
The dudes behind the movie did a short video before the movie started announcing all the other projects they plan on doing including a "Poohniverse" featuring all the copyright free characters they are planning on using.

Aisling Franciosi made Stopmotion for me. The way she handled her character's descent into madness was impressive as hell. Once of the best horror performances of 2023 to me.

Holy fukking shyt. Look who popped back up. Welcome back.

But yes, she was great. Loved her in ‘The Nightingale’ as well. The little girl reminded me of that one gif @Nicole0416_718_929_646212 always seemed to use:

I haven't watched You'll Never Find Me yet but I do agree with your points on A History of Evil.
The brief foray into low budget The Shining was interesting but the movie overall never really hit the target even though I respected the concept and where the filmmakers obviously wanted to go.
I also think that aside from Paul Wesley, the casting was let down.

Yeah, they had a pretty cool idea for taking The Shining to a Southern plantation-style home. I think that could have stood on its own without the dystopian future backdrop. Also, cosign on the casting; there was no chemistry between the cast. It's a really cool idea that kinda failed on execution imo.

Bought a DVD set with the movie Funhouse and was disappointed to find out the disc was broken. I wanted to watch it. Is it worth a blind buy on blu? Or is it on tubi?
I definitely found it on a streaming service around Halloween...I think on Shudder. It's a good movie, but I'm not sure that I'd shell out money for a Blu-ray copy. I put it a tier below his best classics.

Crazy seeing the same guy who directed ‘You’re Next’, Adam Wingard, go from that to hitting it big with the Godzilla X Kong franchise today. These come-ups are always bittersweet to me. Because on one hand, it’s cool to see the success but I do hope he makes a return to horror someday, either through an entirely new project or sprinkling in some elements in the Monsterverse flicks.

Didn’t see anyone bring this up too: Derrickson and Cargill taking on that ‘Night of the Hunter’ adaptation will be a hefty ass task. Not sure how I feel about it, but I will be watching. Would be shocked if Hawke isn’t involved in some capacity, who seems to be their muse.

Warner Bros backing up the Brinks truck and letting David Robert Mitchell take on a big budget dino movie in IMAX, while still prioritizing that ‘It Follows’ sequel with Neon. Now that’s what I like to see. :banderas:
