A top horror writer behind the Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer franchises, Williamson is taking on the work of a genre icon, suspense thriller master Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. Williamson will write the reimagining, which Davis Entertainment’s John Davis and John Fox executive produce alongside Williamson, Fast and MKT Productions.
Bro I’m right there with you. Took me a while to see it as well. There are so many projects out there waiting to be taken in that I can’t fault anybody for finally being able to watch something. And that’s in addition with the beats of adulthood. I’m actually still making my way through the F13 flicks. One of the best stories for a horror film. I saw it for the first time last year and was surprised how good the storytelling was.
(Yes, it took me until my mid-30s to see it. Aside from Halloween, lot of old school horror films I barely watched over the years.)
Yeah, I still haven’t seen all the F13. I stopped at 6 this past October. (Think it’s 6. I know it was one of the films listed in here.)Bro I’m right there with you. Part of me is envious of those who were able to grow up on the film and experience it on the big screen in 1984, or the first night it hit HBO. On the other hand, the concept of a burnt serial killer capable of murdering me in my dreams would’ve surely kept kid me awake at night, just like Nancy and company.
You know how your skin shrivels up when you’re in the shower for too long? I was terrified as hell at this manifestation as a little one and thought I was turning into Freddy Krueger.
You’re farther than me, lol. I fell asleep mid-way through 3. Nothing against it, I was just fukkin’ tired.Yeah, I still haven’t seen all the F13. I stopped at 6 this past October. (Think it’s 6. I know it was one of the films listed in here.)
I’ve seen Jason Takes Manhattan on bootleg about a decade ago, which was the first solo Jason film I saw. I watched FvJ when it came out and saw parts of some of the films when I was a kid; they were the tv versions tho and I don’t remember much.
The Nightmare… saga was the last blu set I grabbed, so one day I’ll check them all out.
Neon right now:Neon said we're coming for that crown A24
I need to finish The Wailing. I've liked what I've seen so far. Also glad to see Late Night with the Devil has a teaser and a release date. I think 2024 will be a great year for horror movies.
Tubi also was great horror classics. I watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers for the 1st time on there at my dad's house.
shyt, dude, aside from my first theater experience, I don’t even remember my movie experiences when I was a kid/preteen.You’re farther than me, lol. I fell asleep mid-way through 3. Nothing against it, I was just fukkin’ tired.
I couldn’t even see FvJ in theaters (I was 7). All I remember was the marketing for it, and how hype it was for two terrifying horror icons to square off against one another. I’m curious though, how was the theater experience for this one? That’s dope you got to catch it.
‘Freddy vs. Jason’ has its flaws, but for a film that was supposedly in development hell? I thought it actually came through. Could’ve ended up with a way worse product. Enjoyed my time and I liked how campy it got.
