I really enjoyed Slick.
It was smartly written and made good use of the pandemic as a premise.
Plus it included multiple really good well staged chase scenes and I have felt that recent slashers have gotten away from making chase scenes an integral part of the movies.
I give 'Sick' 3 out 4 Gun Totin' Dr. Loomis'
Sick was great. Kevin Williamson really only writes one kind of murder weapon tho haha.

when they slit that dude’s Achilles then pushed him over the stairs onto the antlers :damn:
You know it’s a Kevin Williamson brand based off 1) the murder weapon and 2)chase scenes 3)how he uses said chase scenes to build up the suspense when a feature character makes it right to the door/window to escape where he gives the split second of hope that the victim will actually survive 🤭
4) mysterious message from unknown source stalking the victim
90s
- I know What You Did Last Summer (regular Mail)
00s
-Scream (phone call)
20s
-Scream reboot (text)
- Sick (text)

He also did Venom (not the marvel one but this):

Didn’t get much push but I liked it for what it was.

(The fact that I’ve been around watching horror movies that he’s penned to see the progression :old:)

I’m amazed at how he follows this same formula but still manages to maintain the integrity of the suspense, scare factor, and unpredictable plot twist along with the murderer reveal backstory. Flawless screenwriting skills for this genre

On the opposite spectrum of a film that is not written by Kevin Williamson - I started watching this piece of shyt movie below; figured out the plot twist, conclusion and the antagonist in the first 10 minutes and turned it off.

Whoever gave this a green light is a dub^^^- they really thought they had some breakthrough event with this. Not in the least- they tried to go with the “changeling, evil child swap bait” - poorly executed.

I wasn't a fan of that one at all either. I like the concept but it could've been done much better than how that movie did it.

Having a back to back watxh with The Thing duology. Appreciate the OG more than before since the first time I watched it I was casual horror fan. Starting the prequel right now.
The prequel should've stuck with the practical effects they had instead of replacing them with CGI due to studio interference.

Sick was pretty good. Like other people said the chase scenes were good.

Horror movies lately got me feeling broke:mjcry: I watched both of the Orphan movies last week and this movie tonight and all three had beautiful houses. In this movie it wasn't even their main house:russ:

I do find it funny that family got their lineage wiped out by a short chubby girl and she scored a hat trick in one night :mjlol:

Edit: I just remembered Miri got the kill on the son when she stabbed him in the throat.

I thought I saw Parker in something before, maybe Blockers, but its probably her sister Odessa whose the final girl in the Hellraiser reboot. Then I found that their mom is Pamela Adlon :pachaha:She was in Californication acting a fool, Louie CK love interest in shows, but most known for being Bobby Hill.
