I’m not going to say he absolutely needs to, but I’d be delighted if Carpenter got onboard for either a Thing sequel or Dead Space adaptation. Sooner rather than later too as he is getting up there in age.

I want a Thing sequel more though. I don’t trust anyone else to get it right. He could come in as an advisor to the director and I’d still have my doubts. Give that man the keys. :feedme:

Halloween Ends was definitely not it for me. There's a version of the movie where I could get on board with one or two of the risks that they took. But I thought it felt too abrupt to make those decisions in the last movie.

And they abandoned those risks...like killing off the "next Michael" or the Strode's magnetism with killers. They flirted with the magical/cursed elements from the past...blood curses, mask powers, killing seemed to soothe/heal Michael a bit at one point. But none of that shyt went anywhere.

I also don't like the way that characters' personalities shifted from one movie to the next. Laurie's granddaughter was a completely different person in each movie. Lindsey is super low key in this movie, but that also makes zero sense to me after the last.

Also Laurie's gone from recluse to horny memoir writer which is probably the worst final girl arc ever.

The kills were mostly pretty good. But it was a toothless conclusion for me.

I remember thinking Allyson was going to grow into being an absolute badass character after the way she picked up that knife in 2018. Sigh.

The soundtrack would be fire at the very least

Really had to stick with this for the climax but I dug it. Definitely different

Significant Other was a surprising good movie, I didn't expect much from it.The lead actors/actress in the movie were great and carried it.

Watched The Deep House and I thought it was a great idea that just wasn't executed all that well. The jump scenes didn't work for the most part, the only one that kind of got me involved a fish and nothing supernatural. Their were a few unintentional funny scenes on here but I also couldn't help but laugh thinking about the actors who weren't in any scuba gear having to act this their scenes out underwater...:mjlol:
