House of 1000 Corpses is....


It's like vomit on a canvas. I get what the movie is doing and it's different but Jesus Christ the editing will take you out of the movie. it's so gratuitous and self indulgent. It's a shame because the character work is great. If I never saw this movie again I'd be okay. Longest 90 minutes ever.

Terrifier 2 is 2 hours and 18 minutes long...I'm not sure I need that much Art the Clown in one sitting. Might wait for streaming on that one after all.

I can see why Stephen king liked this Mr Harrigan’s Phone adaption so much. I haven’t read the book, but I’ve read enough king to know that all of the dialogue and narration we’re probably taken word for word from the book.

This was......mid-
but not bad at all (think of it as an alternate universe Hellraiser and it will go over better)
it was too long , almost 2 hours, if it was 25 minutes less and this would have been a lot better
I cared nothing for any of the protagonists, i wanted them all to die
it was too dark , all the scenes the blood looked like black ink except at the very end
I really did not like the the changes to the mythology of the box and what happens after you open it.
No quotables ( but i was watching in between meetings so i may need to re -watch )

the Cenobites were the best thing about the movie , but they are not in it nearly enough.
good kills, good fx, great CGI on the box movement
its like they took what they liked out of the first 2 movies and he sprinkled some Hellseeker in it .
Definitely the best Hellraiser since 1988.
