Best slasher movies over the last 5-10 years?
its hard to find just pure slashers during this era - they usually mix it with another genre
but here are few of the ones i think are good and i am probably missing quite a bit

wolf creek 2 (part one is superior, but i think its over 10 years old)
the town that dreaded sundown
the final girls
Hush
the orphan series
Mandy ( mixed genre)
Halloween and Halloween kills
You might be the killer ( Horror comedy) but its actually very good)
The babysitter
Scream

I saw Pearl over the weekend. I'd wait for streaming. It gives the origin story to the old lady from "X". It shows her descent into madness. Seeing this in theaters won't really add anything to the movie, so yeah i'd suggest people wait. Not a bad movie, but don't waste your money seeing it in theaters.

Munsters rip dropped on "alternative sites" yesterday :sas1:

IYKYK :sas2:
Saw the stills for it and saw "Rob Zombie" and it's a if i'm truly bored type of thing for me. :hubie:

unrelated: i watched "A Town Full of Ghosts" is it's one of the worst found footage movies i've ever seen. And I've seen alot of them joints, and this is somewhere near the bottom, and that's an amazing feat because found footage is like if you just keep it simple and hit the found footage tropes people like me will be good with it. This shyt was really bad.

I may watch that Munsters sometime this week or just wait until its legal ( my movie backlog is horrible)

I have mentioned before - but I am not a fan of found footage...... at all.
I have seen some really good ones, but i just don't like the subgenre, so i will probably skip that one.

HDCAMS hit for Pearl and Jeepers creepers reborn
I can't justify watching cams on a 4k , so I am definitely waiting on those,
but some may go ahead and watch.

Gonna give this one a watch tomorrow out of love for Ti West’s films in general. X‘s grindhouse atmosphere was a joy even though the story felt a bit anti-climatic towards the end.

I know his trilogy is supposed to target different sub-genres along the way and the change in tone with Pearl definitely had me hesitant. That being said, I also love a good character study.

Speaking of Ti’s work, his Second Honeymoon segment off of V/H/S is so damn good. This guy knows how to create an unsettling, sense of dread that stays with you.
