Which was better XFiles or Fringe??
:jbhmm:

I actually liked Fringe better
I watched the x-files up until the movie season and it just dropped off after that
and it sort of just killed it for me . like they started dragging stuff out, and they had classic episodes too , but the falloff was tragic.
the monster of the week stuff was better than the alien sublot IMHO.

The last season of Fringe was some BS , but the first 4 seasons were consistent.

but the first 2 seasons of Millennium>>>>> greater than both of these shows combined.:lawd:

Thanks.
I recall seeing a few episodes of Fringe but it wasn’t really on my radar Back then. I need to revisit this in my repertoire.

Never heard of Millennium but it’s also FOX network and created by the person who had a hand in xfiles

the first 2 seasons of Millennium is basically Hannibal in the 90's .
great show
they had to tone it down for season 3 and it killed it.

FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham is assigned to the bureau's Fringe Division, in which she investigates unusual crimes and occurrences. Assisting Olivia in her investigations are once-institutionalised scientist Dr Walter Bishop, his jack-of-all-trades son, Peter, and FBI Junior Agent Astrid Farnsworth. As the team investigates cases of science gone awry, they discover connections to their own past and to a parallel universe. As the team explores life and solves cases in these interconnected worlds, new discoveries and complications continue to arise.

I personally prefer Fringe.

I still hold a grudge against Fox for cancelling Millennium. That show with so much untapped potential and Lance Henriksen was awesome in it.

Yeah, Millennium was an X-Files spin-off and after the show was cancelled they did an X-Files episode in the 7th season (called "Millennium") to give the show some closure.

I’m seeing a lot of ya talking about from. Worth the watch then? It’s not comedy horror is it?
No. Not at all. I’m not a big fan of horror-com myself and this is not that. It’s more mystery, drama thriller. Watch The first 10 minutes of the first episode and you’ll see.

I don’t know what’s worse in terms of child victim shock value - 1) the little girl scene by the window in “From” and her mother, 2) the scene with the abducted little boy in the woods from The Outsider or 3)Dr. Sleep (Rose the Hat with any child)
:damn:
Those scenes linger with you as a parent

I feel like X-Files is the prime example of why most shows don't need to go past 5 seasons and should max out at about 16 episodes a season. That alien subplot just dragged and dragged and dragged forever. They even made 2 movies about the shyt. The best episodes had almost nothing to do with it outside of the shyt with Mulder's sister and the train episode. Also it's criminal how little they used X in hindsight. Fringe had the benefit of less seasons and a more linear storyline which makes it look better in retrospect.
